Just let religion out of this whole topic. It has no link to it. It's only shown as an argument if you wanna argue against it and then again... Where in the bible can you read it's forbidden? Old Testament ? Maybe. New Testament? No! And on which testament is Christianity based? On the new one. So even if you wanna argue with religion.... As a Christ you can't. Then again... America is quite strange when it comes to religion and their special groups and I'm not into this a lot. But religion teaches you to be tolerant and accept others - doesn't it? I actually meant this Jesus story. The new pact with humanity, following the old one by Moses and so on. The "Epistle" is a personal view by somebody, who thought what he writes is right. And then again : religion wants you to be tolerant. Don't argue against homosexuality when you can't follow your religion yourself. And don't bring up religion as a point at all. Religion is subjective and will always be subjective. And when somebody is against homosexuality it doesn't make him/her a better Christ/Moslem/Jew/whatever. And if somebody is for homosexuality it doesn't make him/her better either.
I am 100% against same sex marriage. Not open to debate it. I have my beliefs and they will not change at any date or by any persuasion.

Ty that's your personal religious belief that's not a reason to deny the legal rights to couples who in no way affect your beliefs. You can't make a law based on one religious system in a modern western democracy.

Actually Ty, I was going to commend you on simply having an opinion without having to pretend you can justify it with some sort of reasoning. But nevermind. People who rely on individual verses in the bible or any other religious authority, must also comply with every other provision in that book. Otherwise, they are hypocritically cherry-picking to use their "religion" to justify their unrelated personal opinion. So . . . . Do you work on the sabbath or wear clothes of two different cloths? I'm sorry. I didn't intend to suggest that the harm in same gender couples raising children isn't harmless from an individual standpoint. I meant harm as in long-term harm to our species, as in reduced fertility, perversion of reproductive behaviors, and, of course, taking the next step of accepting socially taboo behaviors, like ****** and pedophelia. I'm sure the inter-race marriage supporters probably said that allowing inter-racial marriage wouldn't cause a slippery slope, leading to acceptance of same-gender marriages, so who knows where this will lead us in the next 50 years. With animal rights improving, beastiality may be legal in your kids' future. It's not harming anyone else, right?
