Yes it is... Is about a parent being responsible for his child actions. Is about a parent who should know at any given time where his child is and what is doing.
You can control the kids without putting a leach on them. At the end of the day from where can come the bad influences? Internet, TV and games. A parent should be proactive and check what websites his child was visiting, what games is playing and what tv channels is watching.
Don't leach me bro.... I agree that parents need to be proactive in raising kids. My kids hated me for randomly searching music and or chats and pictures from their media devices. I don't think I created freaks because I loved them and wanted to know what they are doing in life. I think they are normal behave kids trying to get over on their parents. They also know that I may pop in at any time and therfore, or at least I hoped it helped, to squash thoughts of bad things to do.
Maybe your kids hated you, same as I (and probably you) was hatting our parents for being good parents. But now we are greatful for being so. I'm sure your kids will (if they are not already) greatful for being a parent.
12 year old kid wants to go out side and play with their friends sounds normal, sounds fun, what they doduring that time is entirely on the kids that made these choices, thus exposing them to the world. Or you could be one of the self control parents who wanna dictate their child's actions from when their kids too young a adults which will turn out badly in the end
Is exactly what I keep saying. What they did was under the influence of their environment not about some "mental illness". If would be only one girl involved then yes, i could say that girl is a sociopath. But the chances that two girls to suffer from same mental illness I think is close to 0. An influence of their environment can be the only answer. And a 12 years old is very easy to be influenced. And if my daughter would be stabbed one I would the other parents to be prosecuted for bad parenting while their daughters should get mental health treatment. At 12 years old the damage made by their environment should be reversible and those two little girls can come back to society. And yes...should be another prosecuted one. Me, the father of stabbed daughter for bad parenting aswell.
Kids must be exposed to the world, it's all on how they take it in, but I'm sure you guys don't wants your kids to be socially awkward, that can be a very difficult thing to deal with

Yoloking if at one point child protection is coming your house for whatever reason and ask you where your kids are and you answer "I don't know... Somewhere in the woods, socialise" what child protection will say? "Awesome! Well done sir! Your kids won't be socially awkards!". I think not. Most likely you'd lose the kids custody.

I see a lot about the parents are at fault. Are you kidding me? Did the parents stab them? No. If a 12 year old cant under stand that sending a knife thru someone is wrong they need to be in a mental hospital. If I stab you it should tickle right? What about the parents? The 2 kids should tried as any other murderer - parents for neglegence. They got part in it too. What "normal" kid would do that?!! If from "normal" family?!!!!!!!!!
I managed an entire childhood of playing outside in the woods with my group of friends, most often a group of 3 or 4. Im alive, crimeless, and sane. You cant dump the blame on the parents. All these stories and I always see the blame go straight to the parents. They are perfect parents, kids rebel, society blames. They are lax parents, kids do stupid crap, society blames. They are strict parents, kids complain and push against them, society blames. Parents have an impact, yes, but you cant say its their fault and they definitely shouldnt be put in court smh This is a debate on juvenile or adult. Not environment or parent. Back on topic.
