I dont even read the colorful and flashy threads (Except fors Ashes' of course). Im not in pre school and i dont really like having my reading material presented to me as if i was. I also agree with DMC. If "Lack of effort" is such a common reasoning for locking a thread, then it sounds more like a "catch all" excuse when the mods arent sure. Ive been actively apart of forums all across the net for almost 20 years. If something is in active topics and isnt just a spam fest, then locking it probably isnt helping. The community here isnt that big and it looks almost stranger to see topics that have been on AT for days without a new post.
How else do you measure osw experience? Near bc spy build with less than 12.5 k steals? That's an hte build sorry
Well there are multiple factors you don't consider such as other accounts, what time period those steals were achieved in etc. But I expect you to try to twist it to take focus away from fury getting their ass kicked. Now how do you measure if a clan is an OSW clan or not? Clan running near b2b hte, not giving outgoing hits and not capable of clearing a strip. Sorry fury is an eb clan.

I never claimed CoF was a respected war clan, but fury ain't either anymore. Fury and Zaft are now in the same category as iG, Osiris, BH and all the other washed up OSW clans that used to be respectable
Assassinations do more damage than steals unless you know the guy has a lot of gold out or its a strip.

I agree with you Tom. "Lack of effort" always seems subjective. I agree that spam is annoying however, and I prefer well thought out ideas. Honestly if I joined a new game and posted a question on forums, a rude mod/players would break not make the game for me. "Shoulda posted on dilly bars thread. That's where questions go. You offend me with your lack of knowledge noob" - Elitist players I have no solution.
I agree with you, Tom. Threads should only be locked "for lack of effort" if it gives nothing to the community. Dilly's Question Thread is a example. There hasn't been put a lot of effort in making that thread, but the thread gave a lot to the community. And that's what is important. Good thread! Thanks for bringing it up, Tom!
So do I! Was surprised to find my name here. Alas I did! Also I agree Tom, too many good potential threads locked under the catch all. So yes, even though I haven't spoken I do agree with Twlnky who agrees with me through precognition.
I completely agree with most of the points supporting this thread but taking another angle to this story I feel that the forums are in a place where there are a lot of people that will simply post "lack of effort" and "inb4 lock" even if the thread is bringing some good discussion in comments because people just simply dont read the comments and replies like a lot of people used to. Saying this, i feel the reason people do this is all the reasons said supporting this thread- people are used to threads being locked for lack of effort and feel that spamming this discussion destroying copy and paste low effort /lock crap they're helping the community since a few mods do it instead of trying to bring the thread back alive or creating discussion despite the low quantity discussed within the thread. I feel that forums used to be better at identifying low effort spam than now and this is due to threads not being given as much of a chance by moderators or moderators setting an example of "lets lock this thread without trying to help it" That being said not all moderators do this, most dont touch forums, basically only eagle does this...
