Star looks at Lady. He could tell there was a spell and he would be under it too.

But he did not. He had secretly discovered the truth in the lab. He knew of Irin's magic, and had quickly taken training and precautions to resist her spell. It would wear off soon, but he might stop her.

With that he puts cinderpelt into a headlock while holding his gun in the other.
