deflate gate. American grid iron talk

  1. I agree with you; the deflated balls didn't really matter. Although who's to say the game wouldn't have changed if the balls would have been normal inflation? I don't know. That's not the main issue here. The issue here is that the patriots (allegedly) cheated. There's a rule against using underinflated balls and they (allegedly) broke it, gaining an unfair advantage over their opponent. Even worse so is that this organization has a history of being caught cheating. If it comes up that they did cheat, something will have to be done; action will have to be taken.

  2. The rule only states if found with balls out of compliance then it's a $25000 fine. Unless I read wrong

  3. Including but not limited to a $25k fine

  4. Ok misread then.

  5. Ok, ok.

    Here's the deal.

I was paid off by a certain third party to deflate the balls. I never asked why. I just did it.

Am I ashamed of my actions? No, I like money. **** your sport.

Will I accept my punishment? Yes. I will take the life ban. Why? I'm paid now, **** your sport.

    That is all.

  6. I'm not a pats fan I grow up there n hate them.

  7. Eclipso be nice we do lend you Hockey players. We also held the front line in Afghanistan alone for 10 years while you got rid of the guy you put in power elsewhere.
Turned back a flight of Russian Backfire Bombers a few months back.
We have bigger balls, longer fields, stronger beer and we are the only nation to compete with you in many "World Series"
We are your buds eh. Lend us some eggball players and maybe moose won't pay so much attention to your short field game.

  8. Canadian football is weird. But at least it isn't soccer.

  9.
  10. You can keep saying that as often as you like. It still won't be true.

  11.
  12. Weird how the colts balls and the backup balls didn't lose that amount of pressure then. Because scientist.

  13. Colts are known to inflate balls ABOVE regulation pressure. That's why.

  14. The pressure error was corrected upon the start of the second half anyway. Colts just want to have lost because of things they couldn't control. They can't admit the patriots are better.

  15. The twelve back up balls are provided by the home team. Those balls were not under inflated. Btw- your claim is just false. A slight drop in temp would not deflate the balls by a noticeable amount. This has been proven. There is a reason the patriots organization is not making that claim; and that reason is because it's a internet lie.

  16. 2 lbs of psi isn't going to change getting the crap beat out of you on the ground.

  17. The visting team is to bring a set of their own balls, or the home team will provide them with 12. The colts had brought their own balls, and kept them in a different controled environment than the Patriots. The environment that the Patriots kept their balls in, after being in it for so long, and being brought out to the cold weather, caused them to lose some pressure. There were 24 Patriots balls chosen to be used, not just 12.

4 of the 12 the colts used were under inflated too, according to another poster.

  18. 78 degrees going to 20 degrees WOULD cause that under inflation. You have an apparent knowledge of nothing on which you talk about.

  19. Maybe. Maybe not. And maybe a corked bat in baseball doesn't give the hitters an advantage either, but, the fact is, the rule exists. Weather or not you think its silly is irrelevant.
Brady was playing with illegal game balls for at least half the game, and that's a rule violation/cheating.
