Star's fear continues to grow. He begins to glance around the cafe. Star slides up his sleeve and presses a button on his watch. He stands up carefully and a small metal cylinder flies into his hand. There is a large roar similar to that of an engine and he quickly inches towards the exit of the cafe.
Alex and Irin both cringed as GlooMi lashed out. Silence stretched out untill Irin said, "GlooMi...who...who was that? What was he talking about?"
GlooMi sighed, then to her surprise she began to cry... She tried to speak, but anything she managed to get out was incomprehensible to her own ears.
Shocked, Irin went over to GlooMi and led her to a seat to sit down. "It's okay, GlooMi. Really, you don't have to tell us." She said softly. She had not noticed Star's strange movements.
Star uses the shock to his advantage. He heads to the door. Several armed men wearing thick white armor enter the cafe and watch the exit. "Prepare to launch the shuttle." He says and walks toward the large white ship outside.
With a bang, the strange man threw a blast of air at star, laughing evilly as he did so. "I warned you," he said then with a poof he was gone. GlooMi fainted.
Star also pushes air back. A large red beam of energy shoots from the cylinder and he releases a burst of lightning from his hands. The armored men fire laser bolts from their guns wildly as star flys away in the shuttle.
Irin did her best to catch GlooMi as she fell, but failed. GlooMi hit the floor and Irin lost her balance. Then the strange men came in. Unsure if they were hostile, Irin waved Alex over and dragged Gloomi behind the counter. She and Alex crouched down, and Irin clicked the saftey off her gun. Her ring began to glow.
The laser bolts were no longer aimed randomly and the men began to be aimed at those in the cafe. Blood would be spilt, and Irin would hate it.
GlooMi awoke to the sound of laser fire. She was deeply angry at Star, and with intense concentration, she managed to overload and explode the engine of his ship just before it was out of her range.
Irin peeked out From the side of the counter and fired. Two went down, and red liquid spilled on the floor. "Darn," she said. She looked at the gun and knew it wouldn't keep the three of them safe for long.
Star lept from the exploding shuttle onto a roof of a nearby skyscraper. The leap was far too long to be normal.
"Valercourse," Irin said, useing magic and breaking the rules. But this was an exception. The spell summound the remaining guns from her safe. She handed them to Alex and GlooMi.
Star dashed a fast speed, the strange laser sword still activated. He pauses for a moment and pulls out his communicator. He says some coordinates and resumes his sprint.
