Well, that has yet to be seen. They are now under investigation. According to Deborah, the main body of planned parenthood won't deal organs directly because they don't want the entire organization to potentially get shut down, so, they instead have interested buyers go to the satellite clinics to purchase the organs there. The reason this is done is that the smaller clinics can take the fall if things go sideways and planned parenthood has some insulation from the fallout. It's as shady as hell, but it's also effective.
Selling for profit is illegal, recovering costs for the storage and transportation of the generic material is completely legal, which is the only thing that is stated in this "sting".

Selling tissue may be legal(I'll have to look) but reporting the profits under the guise of transportation and storage is illegal. Like I've stated before......its cooking the books to gain profit. PP already gets reimbursed for transportation and storage through the govt. I usually get charged a shipping and handling fee when I order something that needs to be delivered. One would have to assume that PP also charges the buyers those fees also.
Where did you read that planned parenthood received government funding for the storage and transportation of the fetuses it DONATES to stem cell research? I can't find that anywhere. The only thing I did find was that none of the funding it receives can be directly used to fund abortions. As far as your assumption, now you're just making things up.
I see you're stuck on this "attack the source and not the substance" tactic, so I will leave you be. If you review this thread however, you'll see the people who have CONTRIBUTED to opposing the OP to date have been wordwaster and versa. I disagree with them, but am pleased they are addressing issues and not simply making dismissive remarks at a source. Although I disagree with their stance, I can say that they are displaying sharp intellect and good debate skills. That's the difference between a regular forummer and a great one.
If you don't consider the reliability of a source of information when weighing is accuracy then that is basically the definition of ignorance. But on to attacking the substance: 1) it is not illegal for them to recoup the costs of transportation and storage of donations 2) that is the only thing discussed in the video, the costs associated with donating the organs. The sting doesn't prove anything, the accusations are just inferences made by the creators. 3) the rest is rank speculation
Vlambo. It's common sense in business. Govt funds everything for PP. Every year PP would submit their budget proposal on what it takes to stay open. Their accounting can be arranged so that the bottom line shows what it costs to run the clinics nation wide. When I said that the govt already pays for storage , transport, and etc. it's all lumped together as one lump sum on bottom line. Just because PP hasn't showed the nation how they move their funds around to cover operating costs doesn't mean you will be able to find it. You would have to get their accounting books and I'm sure that would take a court order. I have written requests for govt grants and been awarded them. Trust me the more money hardship that you show the easier you get the grant. Meaning how much this or that costs(storage,transport,procedure,doctors,nurses,toilet paper,and etc etc etc). Simple business practices. So yes I believe that they already account for storage and travel through the govt. What they are saying to hide the profit is that they move that money to that bracket of storage/transport. Not everything will be spelled out for you on the web. There are business practices that are illegal but businesses still do it. Sometimes you just have to read the post then think about it and then draw an educated conclusion. Moose help me out on this one....us older guys know how the world turns and who turns it behind the scenes. You won't read about it but you will read about the consequences.
