You are correct. Religion is not a race. I should have said "hate speech directed toward a constitutionally-protected class of people." Forgive my shorthanded laziness. As do I. Looking forward to years more of it. It's not intended to be a report card - just my cheesy opinion. I happen to appreciate your serious side more, but by no means does that mean I expect you to change. The spirit of this thread was intended to shine a light in the diversity of our forum and give the community something to look up to and hopefully inspire more participation. A lot has changed in this forum over the years. We have lost a lot of interesting personalities, in part I believe, because sameness is favored over uniqueness. People who don't fit in are pushed out, and I think that's bad for everyone. Variety in opinion is the spice of life. Hearing how others view things and interacting with people who are much different than you keeps you from sinking into becoming polarized. These deeply-rooted idealism is the result of the so-called "filter bubble," and I think it's the primary driver of this unprecedented partisanship. Search optimization and targeted advertising has made it such that Facebook and Google users don't often see people or search results with opinions different than their own. This, in turn, leads them to believe that most of the world agrees with them, and so anyone who thinks differently must be insane. That, in itself is a topic for another thread, but I'm just bringing it up to frame my opinion of you and others and hopefully you'll see my words as a compliment not only to you but also to the diversity of this forum. You see, this forum is actually a rare thing on the Internet. Very rarely will you find such an ideologically diverse group on the web. I'm proud to be part of it. Indeed. I don't really see that person as a good forumer. It has only been effective at creating conflict and derailing threads. And I don't want to bring it to this thread and ruin it, so I'll just leave it at that. Someone is free to make their case in support of it, but I cannot.
What about an honourable mention to the great keyboard warriors of ZAFT, APOC and the other massive OSW families. They made great entertainment and banter in the OSW threads which takes me to the Philosopher being mentioned for actually making those lovely threads exist.

Open discussion, yes. Petty attacks and personal insults, no. The majority of us can have open, civil discussions. A few turdburglars ruin it for us all.
