I stopped watching that game in the third quarter because the balls were deflated. No wait, it was because the Colts were being completely dismantled. The outcome of that game had little to nothing to do with ball pressure. I hate the Patriots for so many reasons, only some of which I will list here: 1) They don't need to cheat, BUT THEY DO IT ANYWAY. "If you ain't cheatin', you ain't tryin'" is the Patriots way. 2) They're terribly sore losers. Remember after the '07 Superbowl when Belichik ran off the field before the game even ended? Hahaha. Crybaby. 3) They represent the machine that is professional football. New England has done a terrific job fielding a first rate team year after year, but they appear to take little joy in winning. Wes Welker intensified that appearance during the time he was there. Enthusiasm and spirit are one of the reasons college football is so popular. tl;dr Patriots are sore winners AND sore losers and dirty cheaters to boot. Here's to the second-best team of 2007.
Seahawks repeat Champs til dethroned past stas count nada. Broncos n stats proved that last year Thats why they play the game
you are delusional, willy. people don't hate the pats for winning. people hate them because they CHEAT. you say other teams use these same tactics? where is your proof of that? the colts balls weren't under inflated. you don't hear people talk about how "it seemed like they had inside knowledge of our play calls", like they did about the pats in the years leading up to when they were caught cheating. bellick is a cheater. he has tainted everything that team has accomplished since he took over. pats fans should be more outraged than the rest of the country by this.
Many people have come out and said that while they've worked for other NFL teams that they partook in the video taping of other teams. I've listened to several "former ball handlers" from other NFL teams talk about deflating....this week. I'm delusional. The Patriots are the only team that has ever cheated. Carry on.
Willy, all cheaters should be punished. The NFL and other professional sports are artificial systems that are closely scrutinized. If we can't point to those establishments as paradigms of fair play then it speaks poorly of our society. This negative effect is amplified, IMO, when the winners are caught cheating. Jury's out on this specific instance, but it certainly doesn't look good.
No. It looks horrible. I'm saying all of the NFL teams have done this...but you won't see them broadcasting it. They're too busy golfing, laughing at our expense. You know what the fine is for this? $25,000. I say admit it, man up. Take your fine, then smash the Seahawks and laugh at the rest of the NFL fans while they try to find another excuse why we win...besides amazing execution and superior physical training.
What they should have done was throw down $25k on the field after the game, faced the camera and spiked the ball right in the pile of cash. THAT would have been more acceptable. Somehow.
Something that consistently gets overlooked is the fact that the 12 new balls the Pats used in the second half were all properly inflated. These balls were checked by the refs at halftime. This could point to an erroneous batch, or a crooked handler.
We will never know will we... Still i had the Pats Indy is not well rounded as a team yet is my reason also my reason why Seahawks r another story n the Pats will need be perfect to win. Seahawks shut down the running game n its all on Brady. Thats my take where game is win or lost. No secret thats the Seahawks MO
Moose as a man of facts... Please redo your reasearch the balls used in te second half were legal .... As they were flopped at halftime...
Well in MLB u get tossed corkin bats or doctoring the ball. In the NFL they do not much at all. Wow $25k fine is nothing. Whom ever is deemed in ownership of the ball should be held accountable. Scapegoats r insulting to the fan.
