Country: Canada Government: Fascist Dictatorship Resources: Oil Sands, natural gas, zinc, uranium, gold, nickel, aluminum, steel, iron ore, coking coal,lead, potash, wheat(minor) In 2015, when the terrorists attacked the world, Canada was not immune - the Parliment Building was destroyed in Ottawa and the government was shut down after reinstituting the War Measures Act. At the same time a devastating drought, reminiscent of the 1930's swept through Western Canada thanks to global warming. Riots ensued as people (mainly farmers) lost their land - the government and insurance companies went bankrupt. Martial Law was declared, the Charter suspended as well as the government. After much discussion, it was decided that a council of 12 should elect the new leader. That leader now is Shamus O'Neil, formerly of Ireland. The country has returned to its manufacturing basis, and is largely isolated. Military conscription has been enacted. Money collected from the starving population is redirected to space and nuclear research, as well as R&D in military applications. Special bonus: space applications
Re: World Leaders - PBP An explosion is heard on the saudi arabian/uae border. An oil pump has blown up on the saudi arabian side. Saudi arabia is blaming the uae. The UAE is denying involvment but already fears war so is launching a preempative strike. the 4000 troops that have already been trained are marching from thier secret base in ruwais(uae) to riyadh (saudi arabia)

Mexico sends over all the supplies needed to build a naval facility in Israel. We will need to know where to build. Mexico would like to extend two offers out to Canada: 1. A nonaggression pact. In this pact, Canada/Mexico wouldn't war each other. Basically a "stay away from them" agreement. 2. A defensive treaty. Since we are the only nations active on this continent, it would be beneficial to both our countries to have defensive procedures in place. Research: Mexican programmers and hackers, in addition to being able to break into highly secure systems, have built a number of virus able to penetrate satellites. Further research is under way. Buildings: The complex is one turns away from being built. Troops: Mexico puts out a call for Mexican men and women to join the forces. A third carrier fleet is under way and will be stationed in Vancruez. The second carrier fleet will sail to Israel through the straight of Gibraltar and be stationed in Israel. In a show of good faith, mexico donates 500m to israel.

Though to protect our own we shall announce our current military plans. We plan to convert over 75% of our active, non-commercial jets into military fighting jets. To reopen abandoned military bases, to convert 2 Areospace research centers into airbases, and to build a new navel base. We are also looking to recruit new and retired military personal." Research: Researching adding military hardware on Swedens extensive high speed jet planes. Both man and Unman planes. Researching naval vessels, both submarines and Carriers. Building: Converting two aerospace research centers into Air Force bases: AF1 will be based in the center of Sweden and will focus on fighter drone applications. AF2 will be on the Southern tip of the nations and will center on personal fighters. Both bases already have established airfields AF1 will focus on using stealth bombers and spy gear as well as carriers. AF2 will be fighters jets and carriers Restoring a larger Army outpost that has both caverly and infantry units but hard trains on snipers and airborne forces. Restoring a naval base with heavy focus on research and development of submarines, as well as personal to pilot and maintain the subs. Building a new navel base near the Russian border that will focus on building air carriers. This base will also train sailors and marines to bored and live on the carriers. Training: Actively training 5,000 soldiers (750 of them to be snipers) 8,000 airmen (2,000 to be pilots, 2,000 will maintain and operate drones) 10,000 navy (1,000 pilots, 8,000 sailors, 1,000 marines) Secret Move: Sweden to launch a manned rocket into space. Bonus : Cuba's mostly flat geography makes the land we'll suited for farming and agriculture and in the Southeast are the Sierra Maestra Mountains which can be used as an excellent hideout and sheltering area. 2018 : An outbreak of various diseases occurs in Cuba from the filth of garbage, human waste (urine and poop), and unclean water supply that has built up extremely fast in the past 2 years. The death rate is unbelievably high and causes over 5 million people to die and also Cuba's government to fall apart from the amount of citizens panicking. Anarchy has begun. 2019 : After a year of chaos and fighting for power a victor rises and government is restored. Cleanup and restoration of Cuba has begun. 2020 : Cleanup of the country has finished the Cuban population and government that have survived are ready to rebuild Cuba.
