  1. There otherwise little kids. They need to be institutionalized. Tv and internet has brainwashed them. Have you gone to the slendermen web page? Its all about stuff like this

  2. It's no wonder kids are such unaccountable assholes now. Everything isn't their fault and now people really want them to get away with murder.

  3. Try for adults.

  4. Let them fry, and force all of the schools to watch the execution.

    That'll teach 'em.

  5. I'm with the guy above me. Make it mandatory viewing for the whole country. We will not tolerate murderers.

  6. Just saying, code of Hammurabi would work. Those kids out there would think "am I going to enjoy being stabbed 19 times (because that's what will happen)?" With luck, they'll be crazy enough to try it out on themselves once, then decide it's a bad idea as they are transported to the ER.

  7. Throw away the key

  8. Have the parents arrested for letting their 12 year olds into a forest unsupervised with a knife

  9. That's called prison :D

  10. Oh yeah. I don't see anything wrong with this!

  11. Yeah, exactly. It won't traumatized their friends and family or anything.

  12. What they need to do is ban the sites with slenderman this is not the first time this has happened

  13. Maybe not the first time but won't be the last

  14. Try as Adults plain and simple, I never stabbed my friends 19 times to appease a fictional character. Can't let people be it kids or adults do things like that simply outrageous. They knew what they were going to do. Perhaps rehabilitation possible but doubtful since their minds are already so frayed. For every action there is a equal and opposite reaction.

  15. Stabbing someone 19 times warrants more than 6 years imo. 12 year olds are mature enough to understand the consequences of their actions.

  16. While it is possible to bring to court and sentence juveniles as adults on exceptional circumstances, I have never seen, in any "modern" (I fully appreciate the inadequate nature of this distinction) jurisdiction, this applied to anyone under the age of 14. These girls should be tried as juveniles and given another chance on having perhaps a decent life.

That said, it is a challenge for society, to identify and prevent this behaviour. So while I find abhorent the idea of vicarious liability in most circumstances, in this case the parents and teachers and (perhaps doctors) and compatriots of these girls should find themselves under close scrutiny.

  17. Court? Lol. I vote for dropping them both out of an airplane into the ocean.

  18. And to those who have in this thread invoked (but evidently never read) the hundreds of provisions of the ancient Code of Hamurabi, I respectfully suggest that this code is not applicable to the society that we wish to have today, a civil society based on principles of democracracy and the protection of fundamental rights.

  19. They robbed another girl of her life, and took away the joy of a child from her parents. Their decisions have cost them a chance at a decent life.

  20. There's nothing wrong with American kids moose. However these two kids did something horrible.

The girls should be tried as juveniles.... Because that's what they are kids, with underdeveloped brains and bodies making decisions from a kids perspective. The law is separate for juveniles and adults for good reason.

They probably will not get out when they're 18,. They more than likely will stay in jail until they are 26. As far as their records being sealed, that is also something the court can decide.

Bizarre crimes by juveniles or adults are not bound by countries or borders. Bizarre crimes happen all over the world.
