  5. I bet people would get halfway there and start feeling regret. Then more regret once they land. Then suicide after the first few weeks on Mars.

    I'm telling you right now I couldn't do it. The trip alone would make me insane. 3 years (or however long it takes) sitting in a box the size of a small car? Nope. No way, José.

  7. They likely receive special medication and training to handle conditions like that.

    Claustrophobia wouldn't be much of an issue.

    on topic, I probably wouldn't. as someone already stated, it would be different if I actually had experience in field. it would definitely be a life changing, (and life ending) experience though. Maybe if there's nothing else for me to do with my life :lol:

    But you're right about Mexicans. They'll probably be tucked away in the landing pods and pop out once they touchdown on big red 
