Just hire, but show respect with those owners in osw or ee war. The monopoly of allies has been a plague on this game for far too long.
I've been posting hiring ally on wall and hiring for years never knew someone's banner dictated my actions. Doesn't matter what a banner says what matters is how you perciever what it says . According to you players make the rules of the game for you . I make my own rules. No reason for this thread .
I get what you're saying btw, what I'm saying is there are risks and consequences in this game. By hiring an ally at that price you take a risk whether or not you have a "Do not hire" banner. That person will react to an unwanted ally hire how they see fit. Just how someone looking to hire an ally will deal with any consequences of hiring an ally from someone with an ask first/do not hire banner. Hiring etiquette isn't necessary on a war game.
Everyone also has a sale price. Means there forsale . If your scared of retaliation buy another ally . I don't see what's so complicated . I've had people mad at me they either get over it or they dont. And trust me if they are that worried about being short funds for a volley their threats of 1v1 would be short lived because they care more about gold than fighting. If they get a clan to jump you just watch eb history and when eb over hit ps1 and ps also any top earners . Doesn't matter if you win just make sure to burn pots. If you don't care about growing or allies they do so keep hitting and eventually they will get burnt out just be peraistant.anyhow happy kawing
Didn't Laoda or Teja pull an alliance into an osw for hitting because of an ally hire? If that could happen every time I'd support anything that made that happen. Shift the LB monthly
I'm 100% supporter of free ally market. In some circumstances I do believe in follow/pm for a hire. Is it a rule of the game you have to follow? No but common courtesy goes a long way. "Osw please pm for hire" isn't the only banner about allies. No hire during WoC or pvp events. I assure you those mean pretty much the same thing as "Osw pm for hire". I'm pretty sure if people stop respecting that then things are going to get ugly real quick. Allies being hired during ee or pvp events you get where I'm going here. My take on it and ask people who have hired off of me; freedomwarrior, forrestofshadow, chaos and many more I get back to you pretty fast and I never give any problems about any ally. With that being said I don't care so much of the value more over about the lack of respect and common courtesy. If I have wronged you in some way and you seek to get back at me by hiring at a time I'm not on then fine I had that coming. However, if I did nothing of the sorts would it really be that hard to be a decent human being and just wall or follow? Even though this is just a game people can still practice normal human values that we do on our real lives. Don't let instant gratification, pride, or whatever you want to call it that leads you down the path of just hiring freely. *Short version* Free ally market but have common courtesy and respect of your fellow player.
I cycle through a few tril worth of allies a week, I don't wall anyone I just hire, got a problem? Hire back or hit me. Its a game, playing the ally market comes with risks you accept those risks when you start trading
Heres my problem with the dnh banners or pm for hire banner. If youre in pvp and you arent on to catch me hiring that 1 ally then chances are you wont be on to catch that strip of all your allies
The thing about this is when you're in Osw your enemy is out to get you. They don't care to respect your banner it's war. What exactly is your excuse to why you can't? All I can say at the end of the day people will do what they want. People still have free will and if you're fine with any actions that follow then go ahead and do what makes you happy. For every action there is consequence and as long as you know that then good for you.
I think the point frog is making is, many of us have been respectful of others during events and osw when it comes to ally hires and thats cool and all, but lets skip all the jumping through hoops. Its not about being scared to hire an ally. Sometimes you just aren't trying to leave that person with a couple trill out when you know they most likely are getting alot of hits.
Just hire, if anyone scared of getting hit save gold in BB. Ally market should be free permission, warning is all waste. You like an ally hire simple.
I only abide by the banner if that person is in war for respect because I wouldn't want that happening to me. But once your out of war your allies are up for grabs can't agree enough with this post.
I personally preferred how the orginal PvP event was: you were automatically opted in and you had to cast to opt out. I don't know why they changed that.
Lots of people are talking in ideals. Let's return to reality. The actual situation in Kaw is that a significant number of players expect you to give notice when you hire allies, especially when they are worth several Trillion (1000 players now worth more than 10T) and will retaliate when you don't. My solution gets rid of ally hoarding but maintains a courtesy many high-end ally traders are looking for.
