Should the US Close its Borders?

  1. TERROR!!!

    Hello all,
I would like to open the doors to discussing an important topic with you all today.
    Terrorism Around The Globe.

    Background

Terrorist Attacks have sadly become a regular event in society. It doesn't matter where you're from; you are a target. Whether you're black or white, gay or straight, Catholic or Muslim, Terrorism will in some way, shape, or form affect you.
Most recently there was a mass shooting at The Pulse, an LGBT+ friendly nightclub in Orlando Florido. at 2am an ISIS supporting, American born terrorist named Omar Mateen went into The Pulse and opened fire. 50 people were killed and 53 were injured. This is being called the biggest mass shooting in American history.

    The Debate

With The Rise of Trump as the leading GOP Candidate, we see somewhat extreme views revolving around how America should deal with the issue of terrorism. As Trump has said many times, he would like to bar Muslims from entering the United States, while expelling Muslims living with in our borders, or forcing them to wear some form of visible identification. The Attack on The Pulse has been bringing plenty of support to Trump with supporters outraged about yet another attack on American Soil by an Islamic Extremist.

    While on the other hand...

Omar Mateen was an American citizen. He was born in Brooklyn, New York with Afghan parents. He was not trained with the intent to come to America and attack. the victims of the attack were from multiple faiths. Muslims died in the attack as well. The issue is more the empowerment of Mentally Ill who legitimately believe that killing is justifiable.

    WHAT SHOULD WE DO?

    • Is closing our borders to those of Muslim Herritage Justifiable?
    • Should a nation born on religious freedom judge a whole religion based on the actions of Mateen?
    • Is it right to let a few sick individuals reflect upon 2.08 Billion people?
    • Is it time to end our war on Terror?
    • Should America be supporting Israel's bombing of the Gaza Strip?
    • If we forced Islam out of American borders where will we relocate the 3,000,000 Muslim Americans
    • How would these drastic measures effect the United States economically? Would Opec put an embargo on us?
    • And most importantly,WHATS GOING ON WITH TRUMP'S HAIR??? :p

  2. Well. Trump never said anything about expelling muslim citizens, so you are misleading.

what was said is we can not properly vet those coming into the usa, and until we can, it should be halted.

There are other countries that do not issue Visa's to countries that are known to host terrorism, which is the same thing as the terrorism is born out of twisting the muslim ideology.

Any nation with open borders is not a country.

I'm kind of excited waiting for Clinton to get in office and tear down that divisive wall around the white house.

  3. Build that wall and chuck em' over ...problem solved

    TRUMP 2016

  4. When has the removal of a certain religion or ethnicity from a country been seen as a good thing, looking back at history?

    Interment camps for Japanese-Americans? No

The Holocaust? Or even having Jews wear a star of David in Germany? No

    The trail of tears? No

    The Spanish Inquisition? No

    The Crusades? No

    Anyone have a good example?

  5. Yes these Muslims are a threat to our nation

  6. Secure your nations borders. End of story.

As for the true topic of this thread?

It's because he is going super sayian.

  7. Just going to say, remove his name from the thread. The more people say his name the more recognition he gets. Which is exactly what he wanted - on top of killing them.

  8. I completely agree with securing our birders. I do not think it is racist to want to protect our citizens.

  9. Why is this even a question. Trump isn't for the American values. Why would anyone vote that idiot in

  10. I stopped reading when your example of Orlando became contradictory to your thread title. If terrorism is being Born within our borders, does closing the borders make sense? No

  11. YES AMERICA SHOULD CLOSE THERE BORDERS AND IMMIGRANTS CAN COME TONTHR US LIKE THEY WERE AND ARE SUPPOSE TO LEGALLY!!!!

  12. What's your opinion, chocolate?

  13. This election will be historic either outcome.
We will either have our first woman president or our last.

  14. My view is that we take things to far at times in our approach to terrorism. closing our borders is not an option, it would be economic suicide. We cannot blame a whole ethnicity, we need to focus more on phycological screening of all who wish to live within our borders. This includes Catholics and Whites, screen for the radical not the religion.

  15. To kick out expired visas and to put a temporary ban on the immigration of people from troubling countries would be a safe and "PC" start .
Why can you hunt Isis anywhere in the world except in the US.

  16. ^ cause apart from the second amendment, there are other rights in the US

  17. Don't freely give away your civil liberties because of ppl with agendas (politicians, corporations, news organisations) are selling you fear.
Yes the USA has its share of tragedies and no one deserves that, but there has to be a better way to deal with this instead of closing the doors.
Don't believe anything those with influence preach to you without looking into it and researching it yourself first.

If in doubt look who will benefit most from these big decisions.
    Think for yourselves.

    And…
Follow the money,…always follow the money.

  18. Yes we should close the border.

Yes the kid was born here and on the FBI watch list. His parents should of never been let into the United States. His father is a radical Muslim aggetator with strong hatred for the US. This isn't home grown terrorism as the right says. He was born of hatred taught in that family.

  19. Unless those rights infringe upon another persons rights (or rather threatens or limits another persons rights) ... 
