How NOT to make a Reset Bomb

Alison, how it started is irrelevant. All that became null and void after Res broke the CF. We had this goat rope calmed down and everybody went back to doing what they were doing. Not Res. They made fake ZAFT clans and kept on whacking us. When that wasn't enough, they launched a sneak attack and stripped Defiant. They wanted this war. They did whatever they had to do to keep it going.

And no offense, but don't call someone names then say no offense. You meant to offend.

Earlier I said I'd talk about pinning and farming.

The two terms are often used interchangeably. I do it myself. But they're not. The tactics are pretty much the same, but the goal isn't. The goal when you pin is to neutralize the target and render them ineffective. The goal with farming is to make the target suffer.

Pinning can be done using same tactics as farming. Attack, assassinate, steal and scout. But that's wasteful. The goal is to neutralize the target, not burn their pots. For an attack build you want to whack their troops down and keep them down. That's their main weapon. With hansels, it's their spies. That's why I use scouts. It's the most cost effective method. It uses up the least amount of your spies. If you catch a big spy unloading, you can use two smaller spies to sit on him all day. That's how we've been pinning you for the last few hours Pooper. In your hurry to prove your prowess, you always unload all your spies. That leaves you vulnerable and two small spies can keep you pinned. Hint: It's got something to do with regen rates. Think about it.

Farming on the other hand, is about breaking the target. That's why we're not only scout bombing James, we're whacking him and stealing him as well. His adp went from 13, to 12, to 5 to zero at last check. We'd strip him too, but all that incoming is keeping him alert. That pot loss isn't all due to us of course. He sold pots in order to cut his losses. Lots of people do. I've done it myself. That's why I only have 9 sdp. It's what I feel is optimal for my stats and ally liability considering my opposition. Why waste all that pot money protecting a bomb from strip? Even tower builds can be stripped. With my spy stats, two more pots ain't gonna save me. The money is better spent on attack pots.

I'm not a KaW God like some people. I get beat all the time. Anyone who says they don't is lying. Anyone can be beaten if you put enough players on them. Smart players know how to minimize their losses. Anyway, that's how I see the differences. Other may not agree. We can discuss it if you'd like.

I'm not an expert on the game mechanics and builds either. Plenty of people know more about it than me. What I do know is war. There are three main elements. Logistics, strategy, and tactics. Of the three, logistics is key. Logistics determines the other two. You can't strip if you don't have the funds. Logistics limits what you can and can't do. It's that simple. Strategy and tactics are more complex, and like pinning and farming they're not the same either. Strategy is what you want to accomplish. Tactics is how you do it. But that's a whole other essay.

Basically, war is like any other profession. If you want to be good at it, you have to study it. I prefer Sun Tzu but there are lots of others. Clausewitz is a good read. So is Napoleon. The point is, if you want to win wars on KaW it takes more than just whacking people. You have to know HOW to war. That's why we win. Better leadership. Better players. Sitting in cc telling each other how great you are and scheming to get others to do it for you isn't going to cut it.

 

It's called "self pinning".

I pick a target and I pin on them. If you pick the right target, you can hit them from pin without using pots. I make about 75m to 85m per hit depending on the target. I not only burn their pots, I make cash while I do it. Since I usually hit hansels, I dump my spies on them too. This pins my spies so the target can't steal me back after I hit, plus it helps any spies trying to pin the target. That's all the "failed scouts" Pooper seems confused about. If you're going to be online awhile it's a smart way to fight. You can hit them. They can't hit you.

It's also used to protect yourself from being stripped. If you're pinned, they can't steal from you. You can either stay online 24/7 to do it or use magic. Ask your clan owner. He knows all about it. He used to self pin all the time. Shout out to Poppa

I don't care if they have spies or not. I'm dumping my spies on them so they can't steal me when they see my hits coming in. I was trying to explain it to MiZFIT yesterday when he said we kept missing his regen times. We don't care about his regen times. He's a dump. The goal is to keep him at zero spies all day. So far he hasn't had any for more than 5 minutes today. We're waiting for him to start using xtals like James did yesterday. We estimate he used about 5 trying to get out of pin. It didn't help him.

Here's a quick tip.

If you're using mith spells to hide your allies, and your opponent posts your wall telling you that your spell wore off, chances are they took a screen shot of your ally list. Recasting the spell is just wasting mith. Example:

Don't compound your error by posting your opponent and saying that you hope they strip you. It only embarrasses you more. If you wanted to be stripped, you wouldn't be hiding your allies, would you?

Let's talk numbers.

If you have 9 sdp and no cash out, you lose 10,408,750m per steal in lost pots. I figured roughly 9m the other evening, but I was watching a movie and didn't want to do the math. Poop did it for me. Thanks Poop. For the sake of simplicity let's round that UP to 11m. So ten steals costs me 110m.

A spy Poop's size stealing me earns about about 29m first steal. We tested it using a slightly smaller spy. Poop's bigger so he earns less. That's at full spies. Each subsequent steal earns less. I'll be generous though and just say Poop earns 290m for ten steals. It's really lower.

I lose 110m. Poop earns 290m. Poop thinks he's "winning". Here's the problem with his thinking.

On the other side of the equation, I earn 97m my first hit on Poop at full troops. Hitting with my last troop I make 70m. I can replace 63% of my loss from 10 steals with one hit. Two hits and I've made a profit. If I'm hitting from pin I may use a pot to get through which lowers my profit, but then NOW I'm also burning HIS pots. Poop had 13 adp. He's down to 12 adp now. You can add that up if you want Poop. I'm not going to bother. It's more than 11m per hit.

I'll trade him 10 steals for 2 hits all day long. If I run a full bar on him, which I often do, I can more than make back in a couple of minutes what it took him hours to steal. It's basic math. Besides, the real purpose of stealing isn't to make cash. Spies earn peanuts stealing. The purpose of stealing is make the target lose cash. I'm not losing any. My cash is almost always banked. True, Poop does hit me from time to time. When he's not pinning himself. But he's making a lot less than I'm making. The size difference comes into play.

Smaller accounts make more hitting bigger accounts. Bigger accounts make less hitting smaller accounts. It's basic math. That's why everyone wanted to hit the big spies during the pwar days. It made you more gold. Poop is my OSF. I just have to wait for the opens. I'm no KaW expert and there may be a flaw in my logic. But I do know this. I'm making a whole bunch of cash off Pooper.

Poop also overlooks one important thing. While I'm offline and he noob rages in my news, I'm still essentially keeping him pinned. The spies he's using on me aren't being used on a bigger target. My half size account is tying up a full size spy even when I'm not online. Like I said, Poop's stupid.

This why Res is and will continue to be a third rate clan. They're clueless. I like getting even as much as anyone. I hold grudges until they freaking die, then I have them stuffed and mounted. But I'm not a moron about it. If what I'm doing is costing me more than my victim, I'm not getting even. I'm being stupid. And lying about it makes you look even stupider. Example:

Of course Poop being Poop, he thought I said his spies were at zero. After telling the idiot to reread the post, he says he sold his pots months ago



But the problem with lying so much to cover your stupidity and failures is you tend to forget your lies. Poop's been bragging for days that my scouts aren't burning his sdp's.



How can you teach me a lesson if you sold your pots "months ago"? You wouldn't have had any pots for me to burn, you moron. I would have told you that you didn't have any pots for me to burn. I can eat alphabet soup and crap out a better lie than that. You'd have been better off saying your dog ate them. Getting caught lying again only confirms you're getting owned and you're embarrassed. By the way, three laughing faces every time you post makes you look like a kid. Read my earlier post on trash talking and up your game. You suck at it right now.

Folks, we have a challenge!

Pooper has given me a week from today to put him over 34,000 losses!

I've been beating on Pooper all week. Last night I got 158 hits on him and dropped him down to 9 adp. He's already sold all his sdp. I noticed Poop's getting close to 34,000 losses ( He was at 33,746 last night) so I figured let's help him reach that goal. I posted him and told him I was going to help him out and put him over 34,000 losses by the end of the day. Poop, having an ego the size of a planet and a brain the size of a pea graciously gave me a week to do it. Challenge accepted.

As my readers may recall, the last time we had a challenge I had Poop self pin for a week while I upgraded to 5m attack stats. Poop accepted because he knew my upgrades had made my build unable to hit a hansel with no cash out. What he didn't know is that we knew that too and we had people who could checking and they couldn't hit either. Anyway, that was then. This is now. I rebalanced my build after I reached 5m attack stats. I can hit a hansel with no cash out again. Readers are invited to scout my build and verify this. I don't mind. I'm just dumping my spies on targets anyway.

So that's the challenge. I get one week to get 97 hits in on Pooper and put him at 34,000 attack losses. And no, Poop. You can't can't change the deal once the challenge has been accepted. I know you realized what an idiot you'd been after making it, but like I said to you on your wall. "Live with your stupidity". I have the screen shots of the conversation. This will not be a contest to see who get the most hits in each other. You either stop me or it becomes petty clear who's owning who. That, or we can all watch you self pin yourself for a whole week again. Of course this time people will be watching. You know who they are. The same one who watched you last time. You remember how that ended, don't you?

Your basic problem Poop is you're simply not as smart as you think you are. I would think you know that by now. You're constantly having to lie to cover your failures. Wake up son. Learn from your mistakes and stop repeating them. Or remain a third rate player in a third rate clan. As long as I don't have to be your clan mate, I don't care.
