[title=white+grey]WarCraft[/title] The emperor sat alone in his empty throne room, his large 6 and half foot frame dwarfed by the massive throne he set upon, the back of it stretching a good 4 feet above the crown on his head, casting a long shadow across the large empty room. His head rested heavily in both hands as he thought about what he had done, the deal hed struck. Apheriun had held his end of the deal. The undead lord had made him emperor of all the land. All the lords and kings from the southern sea to the frozen wastes in the north had bent knee to him after Apheriun gave him the power to defeat the mighty troll king, Usaris, and drive his hordes deep into the north. The mighty knights of the fire emblem from the south, the Zodiac alliance of freedom from the west, even the shadowy and much feared assassins guild the black hand, along with many other noble familes, all had sworn fealty to him. At the young age of 28, he now had the loyalty of over 20 different kings, lords, and alliances across the realm, making him the most powerful man in the known civilized world. But at the moment he did not feel powerful, he felt afraid, and alone. It had been the young emperors turn to pay his end of the dark bargain. His first born son, his heir, would be given to Apheriun, he said something about there being great power in the blood of an emperor. The emperor hadnt payed much attention to it at the time, children seemed so far off, and he was an ambitious warlord at the time. But one look at his son, born a year ago today, and he knew hed not be keeping his end of the bargain. He had thought his empire strong enough to resist Apheriun......With his military at half its former strength, his elite Red Paladins obliterated to the last man, two brothers lost in the fighting, and several of his subject kingdoms declaring separation from his empire, he was starting to realize he may have underestimated the ancient beings power. The undead lord was drawing the foulest beasts from the depths of the kingdom to ravage his lands. A mighty boar like war beast known as Claydor, as big as a house, had ravaged the South, destroying all in his path. No sooner had his elite guard, the Red Paladins, taken the beast down than a huge monster from the depths of the ocean, larger than any sea vessel, had started attacking any ship that strayed from port. With sailing no longer safe the kingdom couldn't get the important grain shipments in it relied upon and the kingdom was starving and near revolt. A large stone golem, said to be 80 feet tall and indestructible, had ravaged the western territories to the point that what was left of the Zodiac Alliance was now residing in the capitol, the seat of his empire. And the latest reports, the fabled ice giant, Jorathe the silver, was advancing out of the frozen North, making its way inland, killing everything in its path. The armies hed sent to meet these horrors had came back in shambles, or not at all. His kingdom was on the break of ruin, but the emperor was steadfast in his resolve, his son would not be offered up to Apheriun, the secret of his dark deal with the undead lord would die with him, and the entire kingdom if thats what it took. He knew this was a selfish act, but his greed and selfishness had won him the throne, may as well be the undoing of it. All he knew was that child was the only great and pure thing hed ever done in this life, and he would find a way to beat Aphiriun and his abominations, or die trying.
