@Le. There is a simple answer. Individually, you seem inclined to believe soldiers and Jihadists are capable of NOT being terrorists but the collective result is that they generally are and you support this by saying they are all CAPABLE of terrorism. By this definition, you could regress to the point that generally ALL people are terrorists because they are capable of terrorism. You have generalized so much that not only have to erased the line between soldier and Jihadist, but its impossible to have any real meaning to who is a terrorist.
That was what I was going for actually. I dont like grouping people. Individuals are responsible for their actions.
Just because your government says a group of individuals are terrorists , it dosnt mean they are , as far as I'm concerned most of the U.S. And British army are terrorists
@Le- Now you seem to contradict yourself. You don't like affiliating groups as terrorists because individuals are responsible for their actions but you say soldiers and juhadists are generally terrorists.
Nope. I said individuals in both groups are capable of terror. And the groups mentioned are very general in general.
So then what does it mean that soldiers and terrorists are two sides of the same coin... over all? Are they over all (generally) terrorists or not?
They are the same thing humans. By Two sides of the same coin I mean that their general purposes are both different yet similar. Paid to kill, kill for faith. Fight for their country, Fight for their cause. But both groups are made up of individuals. So that is why I hate these questions.
Itvis his opinion no need to criticise it (stop being silly) Its a public post and the kaw community can expand upon this topic.
Then do stop criticizing the OP, and American soldiers. You want to know the difference between an American soldier and a Jihadi? A Jihadi wants every man, woman, and child who isn't Muslim Dead. All of them. And they are willing to blow themselves up in public places, send children into the line of fire with bombs, decapitate innocent Christians, and burn people alive in cages. How is this comparable to a soldier, who fights to keep these people away from the people in America, The UK, Germany, Etc. The people you are comparing to terrorists are the only thing stopping the real terrorists from separating your head from your shoulders, and mounting it on a stick. You don't like to group people, but you are grouping soldiers in with Jihadi's, Terrorists, and all around Murderers. So when you tell me to stop being silly, stop making imbecilic, terroristic, all around idiotic comments. Yes, terroristic. For those of you who said that you can support a Jihadi for fighting for something they believe in, it's pretty clear who's side you're on. There are men dying, men who have died, and men who will die still, so that you can complain about what they do, and side with the TERRORISTS over your own god damn countrymen, while still knowing zilch about what you are siding with. So when you tell me to stop being silly, how about you stop being somebody who would stab their own Soldiers in the back, given the chance. That goes for all of you who agree with this guy. I couldn't give less of a crap about the flak I catch for this, it's the truth. If you don't like your country, don't like what it is doing, don't like your veterans and soldiers, then get out, and join whoever you do agree with. They won't accept you with open arms. Whichever country you live in.
Uh huh. The US created ISIS. And Hamas. And all other Jihadi's. I believe you. I suppose we made Germany gas the Jews too? Sure.
@shaun Really are you kidding me the United States of America help to stop terrorists. Who trained the Iraqi and afghan army...... Wait for it....... The United States of America. We are not cutting off heads. We are not using kids to kill people. The Islamic State terrorist group got created because we had stopped other terrorist groups. Do your research first and also what is the definition of a terrorist? I want your guys definition.
Actually, there is evidence the us (and allies) DID help train some extremists groups, though I imagine the intent was good, and it's highly likely they never expected them to gain any real power. @zeth, read the OP properly and tell me how I was wrong to expand it? He stated our, I took that to mean the kawmunity, then stated he was an American soldier (fair enough, but that doesn't really mean it's exclusively American) Maybe I will send a christmas card to said address, if only to show you up for being an epic fool. There's something seriously wrong with you if you think that someone from a nation allied to your own has no business in it's affairs / the people that live in it.
