  1. This is my Border Collie. She is manipulative and possesses full control of me and my household.

  2. My friend got his old account back with his FC badge and all. I am jealous that I no longer can get mine

  3. This was Valijan, my rot, at 3 Months. A meaner puppy I never did see.

This is Valijan yesterday. Extremely upset because I didn't let him come and eat cheese burgers.

  4. @zeth I used to always buy the dog a plain cheese burger wed is cheese burger day it's like Christmas but with cholesterol and it happens once a week. My dog used to get happy as heck on wed ,she knew what was coming. Tasty cheeseburgers. She would swallow hers and give me the sad eyes hoping I would surrender mine.

  5. nice looking pups btw. I cant wait till I either retire or find future ex wife so I can get another dog

  6. Exactly. He understands "cheeseburger" perfectly, and proceeds to rush the car when I say it.

  7. Yay... Warring 50+ mcs people... Again...

  8. those dogs are so cute! What breed is yours Narwhale?

I don't think I could handle training a big dog. This one is annoying enough already.

I'm worried about its training because we got him a bit older (12 weeks instead of 8) and the breeders basically just let the whole pack run wild. Someone said that they don't bond properly with people if they stay with the litter too long?

  9. I doubt that it will actually have any long term effect, I'm pretty sure it's just that it would take him a little longer to get used to it, oh and mine is a golden retriever.

  10. One tip Daph, keep him fairly well socialized. You don't want him becoming standoffish, or aggressive toward people. However, you don't want him to take food from anybody, and be pals with everyone either.

This was a particular concern with the Rottweiler. Otherwise, they can become quite aggressive. That goes for any breed I'm sure. I had an antisocial rat terrier thoroughly latch onto my ankle once.

He is cute though. Looks like Mister Personality. If anything happens to him I expect you to go full Keanu? 

  11. Ive got a pit bull, insanely protective of the household. Anyone he knows I haven't brought to see him are treated as a threat.
Took forever for him to get like that though. I coddled the hell out of him, got in a few fights (I consider them draws) but now he guards me and is adorable.

  12. Retrievers are cute!!

Yeah I am worried about him being aggressive because they were originally fighting dogs or something. We kinda just want him to be safe around nieces and nephews instead of a guard dog.

We are taking him to puppy pre-school tonight so that may help him. I'm want him to only hang out with poodles and labradoodles and noodles to cement my hipster dreams.

Hoping that it will also make him more assertive because he's a bit of a wimp with walks. What age do dogs start liking walks?

  13. My pit (I'll call him Zi, its his nickname) is sweet toward people, he just needs to know that they're people to be sweet toward. Maybe its just an accidental thing that happened, and not something I did, but when I introduce people to him (standing very nearby of course, he is still a pit and could hurt someone) he's very cuddly with them after a minute. Not necessarily a guard dog, just a role that he happened to fit into.
As for walks, I think they like going for walks the day they can walk?
I've never seen a dog happy to not go out and run almost free. At least not a puppy. They'd circle the world if they could.

  14. They love running and exploring ,It takes them awhile to get used to being walked. Leashes and collars take them a bit to get accustomed to.
Puppy school is good,,, I acclimated one of the dogs to kids and food by having them handle his plate and discipline him each time he got snappy or aggressive.,,he had food aggression issues ,
Took a little work, but got him comfortable around others while he ate... Had to also have kids dominate him,,. Hold him down on his back by his neck and make him show his belly to them... He had some aggression issues .He turned out to be a great dog... Not sure if it was his breed of his early exposure to wrong people. He was a pit/ boxer mix. Ended up being a great pet, great with kids.
I try to avoid corporal punishment, dogs are eager to please and be part of their pack,,
Had a aunt who would roll up a piece of paper and yell at her huge Doberman lmao. That dog would cry and show the belly...she never had to do more than swat it with that piece of news paper. Any one out side her pack though.. Watch out.

  15. Bump.

    Same with mine.

I don't want him aggressive toward people. I mean, I can walk him down the street and he is friendly toward anybody, but occasionally he gets standoffish with some, and I don't question that.

  16. Are you saying that they are cuter than me!?

Well I've reduced you to yellow now depth

  17. She has a dog now so she no longer needs her wolf.

  18. Shelob is my greatest fear, I really shouldn't have watched LotR as a child.
