I've also built a PC drunk and I recommend it 10/10. But software wise it isn't difficult at all. I've never run into any issues while building a PC I just plug in my external optical drive (or internal one, depending on the build [but I usually opt out for that cause I rarely use optical drives and they're ugly]) and do a clean install of windows. Then if there's any issues I use the driver disks that come with the video card/motherboard/etc. The one time I ran into an issue was my most recent build (about 2 weeks ago) when my optical drive refused to open. Turns out all it was was a bad SATA power cable and all it could do was light up.
Nvidia shield? Best handheld by far. Best console is probs a mini-itx build with a wireless kb/mouse on my couch
But stiiiiilllll... How often do you see a power brick with a built in cooling fan? Its so unique and i wish my laptops power brick had a built in cooling fan. xD
Seriously don't even bother with support or anything like that. You can just buy a new one separately and it'd probably be a hell of a lot less work than contacting support and not having an xbox for likely weeks.
Oh boy i forgot to mention the drivers. Those can be a pain sometimes. I keep a external usb optical drive to do my windows installations. But i meant gaming wise since that's what op kinda mentioned. Some games are just so stubborn with some graphic cards, especially older games (like WC3). Most steam games work fine though. So for a console person jumping to PC it might be a bit of a tough pickle for them.
Eh, I've never had an issue with drivers. The only time I ever had an issue with running games was on my old laptop with an i7 3630QM (which ran surprisingly well) and gt 610M (horrible, integrated graphics nowadays can outperform). And that was only because I didn't meet the minimum requirement.
Try getting WC3 cinematics to play properly on new systems  Power bricks get pretty hot sometimes. Whichs bugs me a bit cause i like to keep all my hardware cool. I have nightmares about my stuff getting too hot and having their lifespans reduced by a few days.
Same here, if anything in my system goes above 30 degrees celsius you can bet I turn my fans all the way up. I don't even watercool and I OCed my i7 6700k to 4.6 Ghz without issue and rarely get above 30 degrees celsius. I'm running the maximum possible amount of case fans in a Rosewill Thor V2 (google it). And I'm literally using a stock intel air cooler from another processor I had (opting to use a better cooler on my devil's canyon chip instead). Either my chip was part of an absolute 1/100000 batch or Skylake runs ridiculously cool (the 30 degrees is just idling or browsing internets, doing something like video editing/rendering will push it to 50 degrees sometimes).

Call Microsoft costumer service they will have u send the brick in and give you a brand new one, because it's still under warranty. It's happened to me the bricks are very delicate(aparently) and any type of fall or hit they take can result in its death. Hopes this helps goodluck!
6700k huh? I didn't get to try the 6th gen intel chips yet (not on the desktop at least) i tore down my rig awhile back and haven't had much time lately, but i want to re build it with better components (Mobo, cpu, ram, gpu and maybr case) but my nzxt 240 is still lookin good. Thinking aboit doing a all white build, like a frost themed one. 4.6 GHz on idle is really good, what are the volts and multipliers? Are the 6th gens really that good? Even with stock cooler? I plan to liquid cool mine. Maybe custom loop with the graphics cards or ill just stick with a corsair loop. Thor case looks badass btw, got led fans or strips? Keepin dat positive air pressure?
How long ago did you get it? Most retail stores will honor a warranty if it hasn't been more than a couple weeks.
I'm not sure on the volts or multipliers atm (can't be bothered checking right now) I recommend the MSI KRAIT Edition mobos with corsair vengeance fury (get black/white) DDR4 if you're going with black/white. MSI also has a black/white themed graphics cards. And yes, Skylake IS that good. I'm almost certain I got really lucky on this chip. I originally had a Be Quiet! cooler but hit the wall at 4.8 GhZ regardless of the cooler. I decided that I didn't want to reduce the life of my chip so settled for 4.6 and I found the stock cooler did fine. I ended up putting the other cooler in another build with an i5 4690k and using a spare stock cooler. And yes, I have 1 or 2 LED fans with a MSI Z170A GAMING Pro motherboard (which has pretty lights that change colors! ) i'm thinking on getting NZXT Hue LED strips since I have a series of things that can change colors (I have christmas lights up on my walls near the ceiling all around the room in red and have blue as well taken down atm). Then I can swap out the LED case fans for some Enermax rainbow Vegas or whatever they're called (they changed between blue, red, and green I believe). So if I get NZXT Hue I can just change colors of everything on demand. If I'm feeling blue on a particular day I can just change colors  although LEDs are pretty gimmicky I kinda just want to go through this since I bought a chroma mouse and I've had a steelseries kb that changes colors for years.
