I hiss, not wanting to answer. "Do-do you even.." I try to spit it out. "Do you like me? As a friend." I say, almost hitting myself for saying it wrong.
I sigh, waiting a while to think of any excuses to not say it. "Do.... You like me more than a friend?" It shoots out of my mouth and I almost hit myself for just saying it.
I look at my hand, avoiding his gaze from my sorrowful one. "Anyone I love, gets killed." I murmur softly
"I have had many chances to die.. If I do get killed, the killer will eventually get taken down by me.." I say, moving my head to look at you.
I just shake my head numbly. "You just said the killer would be killed by you. I meant I am the killer." I look up into your gaze, eyes turning cold as ice fire.
"I would never kill you. And why would you want to kill me?" I ask, almost putting my hand to turn your face to me.
