Few changes in the right direction but 10 min fixed KO still not a good idea on many levels of looking at it imo....
@kaw_admin, it is a fact that no two clans are equal and the balance is tipped further due to varying BFA and BFE. particularly BFA which is to the benefits of early starters and xtals burners. would you not consider a week of trail wars that would nullify BFA/BFE during EE wars? meaning that a CS 20m attk is as strong as any CS 20m attk, a 14m CS spy is strong as any 14m CS spy.. this is only effective during EE. also narrowing %hit ratio so that anyone with <50% change success hit rate = DTW/DTS @All, the longest war duration is 2hrs + 1hr waiting.. so that say you are only without bfa/bfe for 3hrs. there are always two sides to every solution, so it really depends what the majority wants.. a true test of strategy or just a smack down via strength? unless you want a 70% no match to occur by limiting the bfa/bfe differences further else no amount of tweaks can remove scenarios of mismatch because the main root cause of imbalances is due to BFA & BFE. That's a reality!!! Benefits of Raw Stats Trails: 1. Narrow down the disparity caused by big variation of BFA/BFE 2. Simpler match up algorithm 3. A true test of war strategy/base-built and not by obvious strength imbalances
Why not just take it one step further and just issue us war accounts that are all exact same? It is a war game and it is your kingdom to build. limiting what people worked hard for is a ridiculous notion to most people who actually worked for it and alot who are striving for it. Take away the ability to use the gear in the setting it was made for would cause alot more people to quit the game. And since you are still testing your matchups devs how about making a week of wars where xtal use is refunded. you would get more signups to give you better data and wouldn't tick so many people off for wasting xtals in bad wars. You did it a few weeks back for 2 wars why not use it again?
Devs- just giving some feedback... Wars seem closer to good matches for us this week so far. First war we were stronger than opponent and won, second war we were weaker than opponent and lost but it was still a fun war and close for a long time, third war we were pretty evenly matched and it was a great battle that we ended up winning. Third war was interesting because we had less CS but I think had more BFA/BFE which evened it out. Thank you for continued work on algorithm, it seems to be getting better. A thought I had on algorithm - do you look at hit ratio first and then at CS/BFA/BFE? It might best to try to matching CS first, then by hit ratio/BFA/BFE. Since we don't know how it works I'm just guessing and throwing ideas.
I wonder if the devs have even read anymore of this lol. As time goes on it feels like there is just not enough time before season two to fix all these issues, id be happy enough if they could atleast fix the gh isssue but I'm not holding my breath. They really should be listening to people instead of trying to roll out season two when many feel the war system is not ready.
I prefer variable ko times. Yes it makes it harder for trackers but also helps to minimize impact of clans who may be using auto tracking since its variable.
How about you cocksuckers start the season already???? Our clan was 11-1 last season stop fücking with matchups and start this **** already???greedy as monkeys want your crystal money!!!!!
War 5, Battlegrounds vs. Silver Respect to Silver for their effort That was one lopsided match up. They put up a fight but didn't have a chance. We were way bigger in CS, bfa and bfe. Not to mention up 3 members 29 to their 26 There's gotta be a better method of balancing these matches. Even if clans have to bump accounts off roster to make match closer. Thanks again Silver, respect for your effort.
I think I've seen some of the worse matchups for a long time this weekend. Surely you can't be ready for Season 2?? After all these trials the matchups are still screwed
Thanks battlegrounds. We knew we had little chance. This matching is a joke. If I didnt enjoy war I would quit ee. Why spend on the gold to make a war build and I have to sit for 2hrs pinned. We could have casted no mith not xstal. But why should 2 clans suffer because u dont know how to match clans. This is worse than season 1. All that needed to change was adding bfe to the numbers you already use. Should be cs + bfa+ bfe= x. Then make a range were the 2 clans x number can be match. Should be no more than a 10% difference from each other. I dont want either side of this kind of war
Question @ devs, when you are considering bfe in match ups do you take in to account equip with % bonus separately from equip that gives a static bonus.
After doing quite a few EE wars, the main problem that keeps recurring is the bad matchups. There are 2 main problems that need fixing. 1. No match/ strength difference. This weekend we saw that the current 'hit ratio' algorithm produced the following matchups. War 4: Clan A: Ally LB 51 and 130 plus 27 non LB. vs NWoCB: Ally LB 10, 15, 26, 41, 43, 52, 79, 101, 147 and 156 plus 19 non LB. I'm not even gonna estimate the difference in BFA here but it must be huge. Week 12 war 5: BG: 29 people, Ally LB 87, 97 and 190 vs Silver: 26 people and zero Ally LB There is simply no scenario where these can be considered fair matchups. This means there is (still) something seriously wrong with this matchup system. Solution: - Hit ratio needs to be secondary at best to strength comparison. - The 'no match' needs to be tightened and BFA needs to weigh in a lot heavier when comparing the strength of two clans. A clan with 8 more LB should get a 'no match', a clan with 3 more people and 3 more LB more should get a 'no match'. This means your system does not function. - If you really wanna stick to the hit ratio, then get the kingdoms' strengths much closer together by significantly reducing the BFA influence. Make it 0.02% instead of 0.2% just for EE wars; same for BFE. 2. Participation More participation means better matches. Due to the current matchup system, clans decide to skip wars or even boycot the wars, meaning less participation (full respect for these boycots btw). Fixing the matchup system will bring these clans back to war. Participation needs to improve a lot more tho. Warring should be rewarded more than eb-ing. At the moment however, that is very questionable. In a losing war scenario: The war takes 2 hours plus 1 hour activity lockdown. Only 29 people can participate. If a clan loses, the VP eb takes about 1.5 hrs since everyone will be empty going into the VP. If we say the war plunder and the VP eb make up for mith and pots lost during war, then that balances out. In those 4.5 hours of warring, prepping and VP-ing, my clan could have made about 520B doing TFC. Plus of course the 58 xstals this war will have cost us. IF we win, we get a lvl EE and mith. That still means 3 hrs of no eb for clan so 350B potential plunder loss. EE is easily lost again and mith won't build me any T6 lvl 2. So from a clan's perspective, participating in EE is probably not even the best option. Which is plain stupid in a game called kingdoms at WAR; just doing EE wars should be a LOT more rewarding than eb-ing. Solution: Start by really rewarding participation and reducing cost of warring. For the 29 warring clannies: -Make wars payout a lot more gold, and add aqua and inferno for both sides. - The winners get more of all that, a lvl EE and of course mith and Rancor (and maybe 1 xstal in a 2 hour war). - The losers don't get EE or mith but also they don't lose EE. Every level won just expires after 1 week. To help the 71 non warring clannies: - Drop the VP eb and just give the losers 14 mith so we can start an eb for all. Or allow everyone to hit the VP eb for gold; mith only for the warriors. - Let us run ebs until 15 minute before the actual war start. Then lock all activity and just give all warriors full troops so everyone is full going in. - Let us start an eb even if there is only 1 minute to go until activity lock. We don't mind failing as much as we mind pointless waiting. Thanks for reading. ༺ཇེ།པྱིཧརྀཔཀཻ༻
Have to agree to basicly everything Lady_Liz said, thank you for a well written post btw. You have to accept that the road you are on devs isn't very well thought out. Matches are increasingly bad, especially among the biggest clans. You need to reward ee-warriors more, right now the only real reward you get is 2 hours of fun....and that fun are getting rarer by the day since your matchup system are getting worse by the day. I mean look.....what do we get....we get ee level (when we win)....by experience even with more or less constant lvl 5 ee the cost of running 5+ wars per week is eating up that bonus.. But hey...we get some cool equips after a while right? Indeed we do.....but you don't really stand out much when you get it. Now when bfe is counted (quite heavily it appears to me) into the formula it doesn't really give you an edge in ee anymore. For eb's then? Nah....most players don't need ee equip to successfully hit eb's, not even the new ones. What's left is osw.....oh yeah it's great for osw.....but look at your playersbase, most players who loves osw never do ee and looking %-wise....osw among ee-warriors are quite rare as well. You need to reward participants in Estoc better...otherwise it will fall and crumble. We love these wars....but please devs, sooner or later the heartache and troubles you get from it will soon overtake the joy it gives. Oh and btw....your hitratio and dts/dtw function needs to be completely remade or better removed. I'm a 10-ish mill cs and I can hit and be hit by everything from a Guild hansel to a 22 mill cs attack build. That's a difference for 12 million cs......I don't know but if you actually have that system in place I think you need to play this game a little yourself and see what's possible to hit and what's not. Concentrate on the important things instead: CS, BFA and to some extent BFE in that order (Guild hansel, adt and sdt and all those things really isn't the issue you make it.....it's basicly just simple tweaks here and there in payout mechanics and such to fix those things when they arise)
I have one response about the equipment lock. Now I have strong spy eq and att eq. I can agree with the locking while the matches are being made but I don't think it's right that once match-ups have been made we can't access this equipment. Once a match is set it's set. A mere suggestion I posed a week ago, where our equipment is stored why can't we have one dedicated to each facet of the game. One for spy EQ., one for att EQ. That allows the players access to their EQ and there's no hiding it for match-up reasons. That being said if you won't allow us access to our EQ. Especially during a war, in any battle warriors need access to any and all EQ and in doing so your match ups will still be reasonable, because if your running algorithm there's no place to hide it and its access is vital in wars especially.
When also season 2 start, 2 hours war especially when you have daily wars and especially when you have 2 wars daily are too much I think. We should have mixed 1h, 2h wars during the week
So more feedback coming and btw concise and good feedback liz. So foregoing the hitches in the match making and algorithms which there maybe, if you are having trouble tweaking the algorithms then try to increase the amount of clans warring, more clans = bigger cs options = better match ups? Add some proper incentive to war? Increase mith? introduce an eb just for clans that participate in war? Reward season 2 winners with a plunder generator? Crystals? Aqua/inferno? lands/buildings that need mith? Get people to want to war? 2) Make paladins so all can hit but only drops mith to those who were in war - a long, boring 4-5 hour wait for many? 3) How about 1 war / weekend every warrior has equal stats or 1-29 have equal dececending stats in each clan - then the match up won't matter and we see if it's skill or sheer size that wins the war? It is a test after all? 4) I still don't see the point in working hard for good equip if it is gona have such a bearing in the match-ups? I'm sure most of the community will agree with delaying season 2 if you are going to take on feedback, truly test ideas and improve the matches? - However as I'm sure you have noticed - the more test wars fail, the less people want to war - and less revenue for you? I love the wars and hope a good balance can be made
