Blah, I'm just too pissed off about the T6 debacle to form clear thoughts. Now that you have created an exclusive class of 20million CS players, have you thought about how this is going to further skew matches? There is a huge difference between not triggering the DTW/DTS mechanic and actually being able to hit successfully. Count me as near the edge of quitting this game, I really hope you have a plan.
If you are using a combined strength formula to determine matchups, why cant you use this same strength formula to address a glaring issue in ee wars, gh plunder return. It is too easy for one unnamed gh clan to manipulate matchups under your current system. Stack 10 attk lb players on one roster and offset with 19 guild hansels. Towered guild hansels can hit just about any non lb stat account, skewing the hit ratio. This effectively forces a middle of the pack 10m cs avg, avg bfa/bfe clan into an impossible war. Geared ghs need to pay their true strength, not their cs without attack def pots. At least then clans have a chance to gain plunder on a chunk of the roster.
I understand DeadEE's frustration. It's basically, Clan A: 10 GH with high BFE n BFA, and 16 Big Builds with high BFE, ave BFA Versus Clan B: 16 GH with High BFE, Ave BFA

Literally, there was absolutely no information that we didnt know in this thread. We asked for transparency, and all you told us is blatantly obvious information. The only concern that was brought up that you actually addressed was the "no match" thing.... The problem with this is based on the wording, it seemed that No Match has been in place for weeks past... If that is true, then it's clearly not working.
First of all, good job Devs for tryingAlthough, we don't always say it, we do appreciate your efforts. A couple suggestions: 1. I think based on previous posts you are trying for clans to be within 25% of each other, I base this on your target hit ratios of 75%. Find the sweet spot by narrowing this range to produce better matches, preferably 10-15% difference. Obviously, that will result in more no matches so u need more clans to war! 2. You need more clans to war!!!!! Some ideas to help here. Increase rewards as war expensive, random equip drops only gained by warring, double player plunder earned from war etc. 3. Maybe there can be a bracket system u set up. First assign each clan a strength rating based on a number from 1-10 based on your algorithm narrowed to a 10% difference. At time of match, clans with ratings 8-10 go into a list to be matched, clans 5-8 etc based on the narrower % differences. 4. Set up noob war bracket for clans to war in that maybe aren't as experienced in war. Right now, if a noob war clan goes up against rh, nwocb or other top warring clans, they have no shot to win so they choose not to war. I have not completely thought this through and would have to be controlled to prevent exploits. Anyway, here are a few ideas, I'm sure the rest of kawmunity will either flesh out these ideas more or maybe not support but hopefully a starting point for more creativity
Kaw_admin, Thanks for these responses!!!! One thing that troubles these matches though is the hit ratio. For example. If a clan of 1 vs 1 could sign up. Clan A could be a 5mil CS player and Clan B could be a 15-20mil CS player. These stats fall into your hit ratio. This is the recent problem we are seeing and we all know that Clan A would get stomped by Clan B. If the hit ratio matchup is still involved can your hittable gap be decreased to around 5mil CS? That would be a reasonable gap for dtw/dts and would actually keep strength of clans closer. 5mil can make a difference but can also be overcome with bfe/bfa. Right now a GH can hit upwards of 9-10mil CS and thusly he latter can hit downwards to a GH. Around 5mil CS the gap is upwards of 15-20mil CS which is enormous and encompasses most players of kaw.
I do think you have gone a long ways towards closer matches by including equipment and bfa. However, the guild hansel exploit still exists, and is NOT fixed with the DTS/DTW mechanics or the clan level comparison of stats. The key issue is GH plunder, and this appears to have been untouched. Dive into some of these wars that don’t appear to make sense. How is it that a GH clan pulls off a win when they were sat on? What really makes you win a war? Do KO’s matter? If it is your intent to leave this exploit in then just say so. However, I do think it discourages a bunch of folks from warring. Really, who wants to drop their overpriced hoarfrost builds to become a guild hansel?
We are going to adjust the algorithm to do just that. The other two suggestions are part of a larger issue that we will spend Season 2 working on though some of the suggestions you have here are doable for Season 2 and we will have some changes along those lines.

What is the point of eliminating someone for being the last in line? Do the ordered list by your criteria an eliminate an outlier entry in your final sort order (e.g. the too week or too strong). In other words move this odd-number step to the end of the logic tree

Yes. It doesn't quite work that way but the short answer is that we are in fact tightening the gap this weekend and putting slightly less emphasis on dtw/dts (whether you can hit each other, which is now You are too strong/weak).
We really have been working on this but it isn't as easy as it appears on the surface and we've haven't made enough progress modelling the effects on the entire economy to launch it. It's in the works but it isn't ready yet. It isn't the answer you want nor is it the one I want to give but we are in fact working on the issue. Apologies it isn't ready yet.
@ kaw admin why are there major blowouts like the nwocb vs battlegrounds yall still haven't told us why those blow outs happen lol but still gj to the devs for trying
