Neither does russia. Ok im gonna break this down real simple for the thick ones who still keep posting that troop numbers will overwhelm the u.s. even though ive proven they dont matter in other posts yall choose not to respond to those posts. Ok cenario, war without nukes china/rus vs u.s. not factoring in all out nuke war, thats what weve been arguing. You goons arguing for china and russia have admitted we would own them by air and sea, thats not even questionable. But somehow you still keep posting about how they outnumber us, as if that applies to war in this century. So ill make it abc simple for you to understand. Anyone who remotely understands modern warfare or bothers to read anything about it or even has a fully functional brain understands that in this century if you can't control air or sea then you lose on ground as well. In this war cenario there would be no occupation, the u.s. would have zero reason to try and occupy those massive territories, wed simply use our massively powerful navy and airforce to bomb their military until it basically disolved into guerilla units. Hiding and running. They wouldnt be able to unite or theyb be blown to hell. What does a billion troops or even a trillion troops and tanks matter if their just sitting there getting blown to hell? So before one more goon posts about troop numbers and causes me to pull my hair out plz use your limited brain functions and explain how this would ever become a ground war in any scenario? The u.s. would understand that this would be the war of wars in this century and would be in survival mode, we would not be trying to occupy or control, wed simply be trying to defeat our opponent. Wed never invade with ground troops, wed simply bomb them into surrender and they couldn't stop it.
You're correct, numbers mean nothing. However, as Russia has some of the most advanced ground based anti - aircraft equipment ever produced, you would be losing ALOT of pilots and aircraft. How long do you think it will be until China develops the tech to hack Americas super advanced aircraft? Everyone knows the fastest tech advancements come in war time. As 1sexy said, it would be a stalemate, neither side could possibly win.
Ok fair enough, russia does have great anti air defense. But what do they do about our cruisers and desyroyers parking off shore and firing at will?
http://nationalinterest.org/blog/the-bu ... wins-13905 Also rio id like to add this, russias surface to air defense missles are elite but weve outdated them, they would certainly be a threat to our f15 and 16 but wouldn't pose much a threat to our raptors and B2 bombers. Our stealth planes simply cant be hit by them unless the pilot makes a mistake
Real reason matrix left this thread...his only argument was america will blow stuff up cos they have better guns lmao
"Never underestimate the power of blind luck" "Overconfidence is the father of carelessness" I'm not arguing your point, more the attitude "can't be hit", remember, the titanic was "unsinkable".
A big thing i think alot of those who side with the US forget too is that a wartime budget and a war-time preparatory budget are 2 different things, while currently the US maintains an advantage due to current expenditure if China & Russia direct funding focus into boosting military to match the US from the threat of imminent war you'd see sum rapid catching up of tech under a pressure they currently do not feel. Also generations ahead in terms of tech is only a yr or 2 realistically so its no unbeatable advantage with a little time up ur sleeve.
You overestimate America's ability to gain total air superiority over China and Russia. American fighter jets outnumber the combined Chinese and Russian jets by about 500. America would be hard pressed to gain air superiority over Russian skies with Russia's jets and surface to air missiles. They would achieve superiority but it wouldn't be total superiority. They wouldn't be able to take control of Chinese skies at all. Even if all of America's aircraft carriers were sent to China, they would be outnumbered in the sky. So America can concentrate most their airpower and gain partial superiority over Russia or they can divide their forces and eventually the enemy will gain air superiority due to Russia and China being able to produce jets and pilots at a much faster rate. So considering that America can't dominate the skies as easily as you assume, having a massive number advantage on land is a big deal.
Presently Russia is flat out incapable of increasing any wartime anything ...their economy is crap and even when it wasn't crap their economy was based on oil (even more so then the U.S.) ...it's been crap for nearly a decade now, if it was otherwise do you really honestly think Putin wouldn't have been building up the military this whole time? It's been in decline ever since he's been in power ...Russia is almost nothing but smoke & mirrors now
America is also incapable of increasing its military spending, America's economy is already collapsing upon itself. They won't be able to afford to maintain their current level of military spending for more than a few years nevermind increase it. China on the other hand can afford to boost its spending.
If everyone goes to war and everyone freezes everyone else's assets ...you honestly think Russia & China has more inherent wealth then the U.S.?
Lmao you ever researched our raptors? Obviously not. The F22 raptor stands as a god in the skies. One has defeated up to like 10 F16s in mock combat. Russia nor china has anything to stop it. Again your only looking at quanity not quality. And im sorry but it would take ALOT longer than a couple years to catch up to our tech that we've sunk more money into than china and russia combined. Look up facts before you post. You can blow your opinions out your ass
I think they have higher production capabilities, by far. Sure China will lose some cash, but the American population probably won't survive without all those Chinese goods, so either the US will have to find somewhere else to buy these goods from which will probably be costlier or American factories will have to be converted to make the goods. So the US also loses cash or it loses production capabilities which takes away from the war effort.
America had almost ZERO wartime production facilities when WW2 started ...really almost ZERO ...by the end of WW2 we had almost more then the rest of the world combined
"The Raptor is by far the most capable air superiority fighter flying anywhere. In any given scenario where a four-ship of F-22s goes up against an “enemy” force during large force exercises, those jets generate lopsided kill ratios. During initial operational testing, the “Red” forces went for months without taking a single shot at the Raptor. That hasn’t changed much in the intervening decade—but a fundamental problem remains. There are not enough Raptors and they don’t carry enough missiles. For example, it’s fairly routine for four Raptors to take on more than twenty Red aircraft during training exercises. Moreover, those Raptors help fourth-generation fighters like the F-15 to engage their targets—but the frequent complaint from both Raptor along with F-15 and F-16 pilots is that they run out of missiles very, very quickly. " Thered you a quote, a squadron of four raptors routinely take on over 20 of the enemy jets in joint training and win without a single shot even being able to be fired at the raptors.
