Logically to grow your kingdom sure doing just EB's makes sense. But do you honestly get enjoyment out of JUST hitting EBs as opposed to warring? If I didn't have a healthy mix of PVP and EB, there's no way I would still be playing this game.

You also get gold when you attack an EB. I don't remember getting or keeping gold after hitting someone then getting hit back twice as hard.

I rent out my towers when I'm doing ebs, so they still make me gold. Last guy trashed them though, be wary of who you rent to.
