  1. I think you should look up the definition of the word "agnostic."

  2. Seth, why do you believe that? What gives you the idea that it is a being rather than a natural force such as gravity?

  3. Well I don't know what it is. Could be an intelligent like form in some dimension of whatever that we haven't discovered it it could be something natural like gravity.

  4. Straight off of google. I'd say that fits quite nicely with my standpoint.

  5. Shoot questions away at me:)

  6. I think that as soon as you give an identity to a natural force, you also assign intelligent authority to it. Humans have always loved power and authority, this gives some people the idea of telling others that they are able to communicate with this being. All of a sudden, this being is telling others how to behave through that person. You see where it goes from there.

  7. Imitation is about to out-brain you, buddy.

  8. We are a alien soap opera they put us here I'd say there is no such thing as god but the aliens are your gods if you want to call them that we are being watched by billions of aliens right now.

  9. 0.o orly?

  10. Get your tin-foil hat ready ;)

  11. Really? In your earlier post, you said that you believe in a single creator. How can you reconcile that with being agnostic?

  12. I think that aliens exist (probably some are more intelligent than us) but we have no proof of that yet either. Here's hoping though :)

  13. Which would you rather believe?

The universe was created from a random explosion and humans happened by chance of a random mutation, to go on to live a meaningless life just to die and "cease existence" and have no concept of good or evil.

    Or

The universe was created by some higher being that created humans that go on to live a meaningful life and can tell the difference between good and evil, and go on to eternal heaven/hell after death.

  14. "God" is the generic name assigned to some greater creator. If you want to give him a real name, call him George or Bob or something. "God" is some unknown thought bearing figure. A single creator.

Edit: many religions refer to God or a God. It's generic is my point.

  15. I would rather believe something that there is evidence for. There is some evidence for the Big Bang but I'm not sure that it is entirely correct. I say 'I don't know' rather than believe in something written long before we had a decent scientific understanding of nature and our own planetary forces.

  16. We could be a alien experiment.

  17. It's obvious you're biased as hell (religion joke) ;)

    First of all, option a.
Who's to say life is meaningless?
Live to die is far too depressing and there is this little thing called morality.
Just because you don't believe in some higher being/follow a cultist hive mind you can't determine right and wrong.

  18. In my opinion, that's more believable than the bible.

  19. You're missing the point, Seth.

To say that you are agnostic AND that you believe in a creator are two incompatible things.

The very definition of agnostic means that you can't say with any degree of certainty as to whether God exists or not.

Yet, you say that you believe in a God.

So, you either believe in God or you're agnostic.

    You cannot be both.
