Star falls down on the floor from the impact, and there is a huge wound in the side of his head. The wound starts to glow, and heals, leaving a pink scar on the side of Star's head. "That might hurt for a little while," said the girl. "Now do you believe me?"
Irin could only watch in horror as she watched Star pull the trigger. She was relieved to find he was okay. "Why would you do that? What if she was lying?"
"Insanity. She probably would have stopped me anyway." He said, not hiding his fear well. "And I know what I'm doing."
Irin paused for a moment. "What if she wanted you dead?" she let the question hang in the air for a moment before going on. "I don't trust her. I mean...raised by dragons." A whiptail dragon walked behind Irin, flicking it's tail in irritation.
"I'm not worrying much right now. And that girl, she's still watching us." He whispers to Irin "Anyway, I'm off for flight training with my neotropical."
Irin nodded. She felt the girl's presance as well. "Good luck. I think I'll do some target practice." Irin took out her bow and loaded an arrow. "I hope I left the fire extinguisher nearby," she said to herself.
"Ready! Now, activate combat training!" Multiple targets flew up from the lake. He grabs his sword and they tear apart the objects as a pair.
A white dragon and a sunset dragon emerged from the forest. The whiptail joined them. "Ready guys?" Irin asked. She loaded her bow and aimed above the treetops. Then she released the arrows. All of the dragons tried to burn the arrow as it flew, however, none succeeded. They were young dragons and had not yet learned how to control thier jets of fire. "Hmm... Try again!" Irin called. She tried to remember where she left the fire extinguisher. She didn't want to cause any forest fires.
-out- Kay. -in- Irin loaded arrow after arrow. She was not making much progress. The sunset dragon was to tired to concentrate, and the white dragon war more concerned with a baby bird in a tree. The whiptail seemed to be habing the most luck, actually getting 3 out of the last 5 arrows. Irin called it quits, then sat down in the shade of a tree.
The girl sat silently, watching, waiting. She walked up to the dragons which were training and whispered something in their ears. It was a bit of advice she had learned from watching young dragons her entire life. They nodded, and their flames began to get better.
Irin watched the girl carefully. "You would do well to stay away from my dragons." She warned. It was not a threat, just a word of caution. They didn't take to strangers well.
Star's other dragons had joined training. He released more targets every second, which rose in altitude, but between the dragons in the air and on the water, none of the large, moving targets escaped.
