True that! When I was younger I tried writing a story that couldn't really be called a story. It had no plot at all! Turned out horrible. I think I still have it, but I should probably burn it.
Well, this is an idea I've been thinking about for awhile. Just wanted to know what you guys thought. Here it is. What if you were going to die, and there was nothing you could do about it? This happened to me. Yesterday. And I have no idea what's happened since. It doesn't make any sense, none of it. But I'll start from the beggining anyway. Or as far back as I can remember... I guess this is usually the place where the storyteller says his name and age or something like that. But the thing is...I can't tell you any of that stuff. I can't remember anything before yesterday, just before dawn. I guess I had been sleeping, or was knocked out or something. I heard some noise and slowly regained consiousness. When I woke, I was looking at about 50 people and they were looking at me. And there was a rope around my neck. It took me awhile to relize what that rope meant. I looked around, trying to find out where this was, why I was here. The stool I was standing on was wobbleing, and I was afriad I would break it. I tried to turn my head to either side, but I couldn't because of the rope. That's when it hit me. This rope meant I was going to die. I struggled to get free, but my hands were in shackles behind my back. I screamed for help, but the crowds just jeered. I yelled for the gaurd that I couldn't see, hopeing he would hear me. I told him this had to be a mistake. I didn't do anything wrong! Did i? I stuggled to remember anything, and came up with nothing. This scared me. Maybe even more than the rope. But I knew one thing. I didn't want to die. The crowds got restless. They kept shouting "Kill them! Kill them!" like it was all a game. I herd the gaurd chukle and say he couldn't untill dawn. Dawn. How much time did that give me? The sky was brightening. Not much. I started crying. I was going to die, and I didn't even know my own name. The sky got brighter and brighter. The people were yelling. Then a gaurd read some names and crimes that had been permitted. There were several, so i didn't know which one was mine. the gaurd read some more stuff, and then I heard footsteps coming closer to me. Time seemed to stretch out, and seconds seemed like years, but the footsteps came closer...closer...closer still. Then it happened. The stool was yanked out from under my toes, and I dropped. The only thing that kept me from falling was the rope. It yanked on my throat, cutting off all air. I stuggled for air, sweet sweet air, cut I came up with nothing. The crowds cheered. Everything started to fade out. I tried to stuggle out of my chains, but it was useless. Let me be anywhere, I thought. Anywhere but here. Then evertthing went black.
Thanks, but no, of course not. I would continue it from there, if I felt like it would go anywhere. It kinda goes with the secret keeper thing I posted on th iwrite website, only this would be the Time Keeper.
I know, I'm feeling sad about the duel too! I thought we were starting yesterday, and then this morning, and then now...;(
