  4. Congratulations, Mango and Panda.

  5. "They've also continued to provide helpful..."
    - KaW in Mango's description

    They've -> they have
    They-> plural
    Mango is more than one person? What is being promoted now? :eek:

    Grammar: it matters.

  6. There are two new VKs.

  7. It's also proper grammar to use "they" as a singular pronoun when the person's gender is unknown, or the author doesn't want to disclose the person's gender.

    Be VERY careful when correcting others' grammar - especially if teh Chz is a-lurkin'.

    :mrgreen:

  12. The common (incorrect) usage often promotes a usage that becomes acceptable. While "acceptable", it is still incorrect.

    I.E: the word literally

  13. It's in the dictionary; thus, its usage was proper.

  14. So is literally when it should be figuratively :D.

  15. Should we perhaps stay on topic? Also, hey Cheese 

  16. The dictionary I'm using has a usage note that has the following example:

    "The senator was literally buried alive in the Iowa primaries. "

    It's in the dictionary. Does it make this acceptable? Some might say yes.

    Is it correct? No.

  17. How can I argue with someone who thinks the dictionary is wrong?

    Hi, Cole.

  18. Accepted vs correct: via the dictionary entry I provided.
