The underlying issue is that this game is rated for those 9 years old and older. While I do agree, some censored words are harmless. E.g. 'Boob' at one point was censored, only to be removed as it is free to use at a moments whim now.(Of course the context is everything ) Other terminology is very sensitive, especially in today's internet standards. In the past, trolls have flourished on using meme's, themes and such from a historical standpoint, merely to incite and offend players. From that logic, it's foreseeable why ata took a stand to censor such words. If the age rating were higher, things would be different, alas in the present it's prohibited to mention such leaders name or his affiliated party. Plus, don't forget the disclaimer: "The censor list is always subject to change."
According to the devs it's okay to say the word "prick". So saying, "Chaos has a huge prick" is perfectly fine.
People in the West have been brainwashed regarding Stalin. In don't think he's a saint, but he and the Russians did more to stop the Germans in WWII than any other individual. Thanks to him German is not the official language of Britain.
Yeah, think U.S. only sustained half a million casualties during the entire WWII campaign compared to Soviet' 20-30 million which is almost 70 times the rate. Intense! What's scary is that North Korea declared this week, that it has officially tested a hydrogen bomb underground. Foreseeable future seems dim.
That's all just scare tactics. Hydrogen bombs are no more likely to be dropped than any other. Simply because all priority targets are strategically placed distances that hydrogen bombs can't affect more than one at a time. Rendering them no more useful thank your typical uranium based bomb. Unless it's used to target a city. But that's a crappy target.
I would prefer that the historical name and political party be allowed to be used without being censored. It is very frustrating that I can't say things such as grammar Nazi, and annoying when I make posts in which random words are taken out, such as when I am speaking of world war 2 and Hitler, who was leader of the Germans and the Nazi party. It is also annoying when I am reading posts which are on the topic of Hitler, who was the leader of the Nazi party. "Was Hitler the most evil man alive? Why? Didn't Stalin or Mao kill more people than Hitler?"
All in all they did a pretty poor job of censoring *that* political party as we can still talk about the Gestapo, the SS, concentration camps and other higher members such as Himmler
Funny thing is there is actually a Donald Duck cartoon about the German leader on Youtube. Look it up, it's from the 30's. Lol
I'm not saying that we need more censorship, what I'm saying is that we need less censorship. But it would be nice if people that think he isn't a joke were outright banned.
