  5. Last night I counted the stars
    Each twinkling point of light
    And with each one counted
    I closed my eyes
And wished with all my might

My wish burst forth from my dream
And I choose to believe that
    The dream
Is not as crazy as it seems

The is born of hope and need
A hunger that on the starlight does feed
    So each night
    Under starlight bright
    I hope and pray
    That when the aliens come
    They'll take me away

  13. Here's mine, finally!!

    Twinkling stars

The night sky is never black,
Because it is always filled with stars.
Some people connect the stars to make pictures,
I cannot see what they see.
I see thousands of little lights,
    Twinkling in the night.
I see a world beyond our own.
    They see pictures and reason,
    I see beauty,
I wonder what's really beyond the stars,
Shining brightly in the night sky.

  14. Nice ww! Here's mine:

    Starlings

In the sky we see the stars,
    So brightly shining from afar,
But in the sky, what we don't see,
Are starlings, one for you and me.

The starlings are not very bright,
But if you look hard you'll see a sight,
You'll remember forever, no matter the day,
You'll see the starlings, you'll watch them play.

Like little children, so innocent in youth,
The starlings play, and tell the truth,
About your life behind the clouds,
    Your wishes, even those out-of-bounds.

The starlings see your deepest need,
They give it to you, let your mind feed,
Then snatch it away, how evil are they,
Invisible in the sky, with your mind they play.

If perchance they play with you,
There is nothing you can do,
The starlings evil deeds have been done,
With you they've decided to have their fun.
