We are not a christian nation. I have the Constitution and the early treaties and writings of the founding fathers on my side. Apart from your nonsensical ramblings, what do you have? You say because a majority of people are christians, we are a christian nation. Using your own logic (however flawed it is), i pointed out that because a majority of the founding fathers were deists and masons, we must be a deist and mason nation. It is completely inane, but that was with your own logic. My advice, do some background research. Try reading things other than whatever lunatic you find on your preferred web sites. If you truly think we are a christian nation, show me where our laws say that. Show me where the bible outweighs the Constitution. Show me where it says that all other people and views in this nation do not count and shouldn't be considered. Make a sane argument rather than repeating yourself in a rambling disturbed dribble. Or, if you still insist on being in a christian nation, go get an island somewhere and create one. Best of luck to you ️
Kingclam I have already stated that most of the founding fathers were not Christian but later converted to Christian you must not have read what I wrote this country was founded on the same beliefs that all man are created equal the constitution does not state a seperation of church and state. If the founding fathers did not believe in a God then why does money say in God we trust and has said that since we have had money reguardles of what religion this country was founded on does not mean that people who grew up saying the pledge where pledging to the United States of America not to a God In other words this petty crap is what is bringing this country down people want others to be tolerant to them but do not want to be tolerant to the people they oppose
How come anytime a debate about something that happens in America always turns into a bunch of people debating religion? Keep it to the subject, right?
It was not founded on any religion nor was it always on currency. Research next time. Non secularists argued n lost out.
Actually, the original Pledge of Allegiance did not have god in it either (also, it was written in around 1892 or so - long after the founders of our nation had died). No original justification for thinking we are a christian nation, and no current or legal justification either.
The word "Deism" is derived from the Latin word for God: "Deus." Deism is a natural religion. Deists believe in the existence of God, on purely rational grounds, without any reliance on revealed religion or religious authority or holy text. Because of this, Deism is quite different from religions like Judaism, Christianity and Islam. The latter are based on revelations from God to prophet(s) who then taught it to humans. We like to call natural religions by the title "bottom-up" faiths and revealed religions as "top-down." To me that means I am a deist because I believe in only revelations But I am considered a Christian because Jesus or God wrote revelations And in God we trust has been on coins since the early 1800s I have a silver dollar from 1864 that has in God we trvst where the U is a v because it was easier to make
i want everyone in the world to agree with me that murica is like the best but only as long as they say so in good ole english (giggle)
Hmmm showing the proof that this is a Christian nation by demographics isn't enough? That's nonsensical to you. I thought you guys were hard fact guys. I guess not. It's common sense really. If your officials are Christians, in a nation full of Christians then you probably are in a Christian nation. Now, what I believe doesn't matter. You still have to represent your constituents. This is a very common problem in politics. The people aren't represented properly. It's about the people. Not the government.
Now if you say this isn't just a Christian country. Then I could agree, but that's not what you are saying.
Hydra - still waiting for anything substantial to back up that claim. Your "lots of people are, so we all are" argument wouldn't convince a 6 yr old. You would agree if I said this is not a christian country? Ok, this is not a christian country, this is not a christian nation. We are not guided by christian law. Glad that is done The Don, god has been on some of coins since the first religious revival push around the civil war. You may have a god coin from around 1865. But thats as early as it gets. (Really cool that you have the 1920's in god we trvst coin).
Look up the demographics. They are posted a few pages back. Now you can play stupid all you want. It doesn't matter at all.

It sucks to be a minority in your own country. I know. Sorry you are in a very slim segment of society.
Only a minority if the majority claim a majority. Hardly all ppl r created equal regardless of race creed or religion. Whats next the Christian party n run for office?
Religion is something people like to know before you run for office. They don't need a party. Both parties should be representing them. It's okay guys. I understand you don't get real world politics. What works in theory, doesn't apply when dealing with people. You have to cater to the people. 101 dudes.
