@swab What mick said. When you want to keep someone zeroed for a long time then scout. Plus there's less chance of fail and a fail results in lots of troop loss.
Lol, sorry for picking on ya tom, but you never were good at Maths and always argue with mine. Protip- ally trading is the largest money maker in the game. Period Not EB, not quest, not hire me, not PvP, not steal. Volley and ally trade. If you have a 50b ally and it sells how much money would you make? 10x more than if your 5b sold. And it's free money. It's also more than you're making in a day. It is a math game. Fine if you're just here on the social aspect. I understand that. Don't argue math though if you're not going to bother picking it up and learning it. No big deal.
Yea. My two targets are both spies. Both no allies. Both I'm assuming are mains. And both havent had spies for days. I feed them every single spy I have. Ask them if scouts are useless. They have nothing to strip. And have no spies to play the game and earn and probably freaking hate me. All via the use of scts
There is also the fact that any hansel decent hansel that has only mp allies does not keep any sdp at all, if they do then they should stop. (will in most cases lose more in sdp then in allies even if succesfully stripped in an osw). So scouting is the most efficient way to deal with a spybuild.
Yea Val. EE aside. I admitted the need there and gave some examples, but not on page one. I think page 1 I was all about OSW anyhow though. It drifted a bit to spy actions in general as people tried to support scouting in some form or another from any possible angle.
You can bang on and on about how to play the game, but at the end of the day, it's not your game and I can play it how I like. Get over it
When you are a newb ally trader, Sometimes you hire an ally and get stuck with it for days. It sucks to be in that situation.
The only time we use scouts is when we know enemy has stripped someone but we don't know who was stripped. Enemy clan had spies running unholy aura. told clan members to bomb all spies in their clan to zero them while we searched for and woke up stripped person. It worked. It took us an hour to find stripped person. was outside of clan. Stripped person didn't lose much due to enemy spies being zeroed due to scouts. Other than that I really don't have much use for scouts lol. Useful only strategy wise and to zero someone (keep them annoyed. Can't do anything)

Lol keep insisting that it's only in ee but scouting is just as useful in osw. Assas and steal though are useless against most hansels, fail assas by atkbuilds on pure spies trumps scouts, but against most hansels scouting is the best way to make their kaw experience miserable.
In the context Swabia is talking about ( osw ) he is exactly right. Scouts really only serve a purpose in 1v1 or ee wars, the tactics for osw are different dramatically and where scouts are essential to ensure ko if assa isn't an option in ee in 1v1 keeping your opponent 0 troops is easy though time consuming. Just depends who why and what type of war. Also filling a news feed is also sometimes needed after the villager got in the way. Having a small pot burning alts my fave. But census of opinion is def assa first and foremost.
Dude scouting in osw has a terrible resource to reward ratio. Take 2-3 to effectively keep a spy/hansel zeroed. And also as stated does not burn pots and studies show that u look 50% more noobish while scout bombing
