the need for scouting.

  1. I have recently encountered this new fad of total scout bombs throughout an osw. Personally I couldn't understand why, they had the man power to sit on me and completely burn up all my sdp but that wasn't the case, I suffered very few losses that war because my news feed was primarily filled with scouts.

Only reason I ever see a need to use the scout function is to put my smaller builds on top of larger osf/hansels when they are at 20%, and that's to fully clear their spies (which has already been mentioned). Best and most efficient way to burn spies is with assassinations, and like Swabia said, you get to burn up billions worth of sdp in the process. It's like a free strip.

  2. Yep, scout bombing pure spies/hansels/spy heavy builds is the main reason I personally scout bomb.

  3. There is a point in doing it to an atkbuild after he is attackpinned simply for the psychological reason of keeping his/her news full even when there is now gain for yourself such as potburning with assas or stealing. Making sure that the opponent knows exactly how active you intend to stay on him/her.

  4. Another genius thread by swabia! Maybe the firm should read this... :/

  5. Ofc that is after person is pinned and other spyactions dont work.

  6. Yea I would never purely sct bomb anything but a pure spy in osw. I'm personally sitting on two separate spies with scts ATM tho because to zero a spy build completely it is a better option to sct than to assn and stl. I can get a hand pinning them both and then sit on them all day with scts.

But if they have troops and max plunder u better believe I'm going to attk til p THEN sct bomb their spies.

But if they have anything worth stripping, and I plan to strip them, then yea I run fail assn before I clear troops with attk.

But for hansels with barely enough in allies to keep max plunder then I'm gonna sct bomb them to death while I sit on their troops with Attks. Cuz it's pointless to strip 20-30b these days. Can be made back in 2 days with eb

  7. That doesn't really work ama, I can still pot burn and pin targets from pin without my opponent ever being able to hit me. However, if they do stay active enough on my spies and just continue scouting away, then I can't use my spies at all. All the while I continue to laugh and strip them anyways (just takes longer this way).

  8. Also there is a fun story i was once told of PE stripping almost an entire clan, one of those clans with a specific ethniticity where pretty much everyone is same tz. Strip, farm, scout, drop allies, scout the stripped allies so they cant tell former owners who bought them, clan couldnt find out who was stripping them. Anyway lots of fun to be had with scouts

  9. Only time scouting is useful is EE wars. I always laugh when ppl scout bomb me in osw. Or even when I'm in a single combat and the opponent uses 3 accts to scout bomb me. And he can not get me to about hb

  10. I like that idea ama

  11. Tom, your attack is almost 1m combined not 10m

See where that 10x is a bit off.

  12. I said it would've been 10m if I was 10 times bigger. I didn't say that it's 10m atm

  13. Lol cyn they doing it wrong. I had a tiny ass build hitting me w/fb scts and knocking off a hb. A have a spy as big as u. He had 700k attk and 100k spy attk. And was knocking hb off me with his fb unload. Of he had two of those accts he could have pwned me. Don't tell him that tho lol

  14. I'm not great at maths. But if I'm at 1/10 of the strength I should be, then I should have nearly 10m atk

  15. Machine gun,

If assassinations are done and you have the option of stealing practically nothing and burning pots OR scouting and burning no pots and moving no money and making more actions for yourself....

Why tap tap tap your way through scouts? It even burns less % per action spent vs opponent spy loss.

That argument does not hold weight UNLESS the 2 builds match up in such a way or defender is totally banked so the steals are on DTW but scouts still burn spies.

  16. Tiny ass build

  17. I agree with all of your points Swabia except for one. Assuming you are talking about the EE wars, I would always scout over steal. Steal wastes more of your spies and you get little to no gold since the opponent is most likely banked. Scouts waste little spies and are an easy success while steals can easily fail when the opponent has 11 sdp. A successful scout will waste more spies than a fail steal and you can get a lot more scouts in a full bar then steals. Plus, in SW there's no need to burn sdp. But in OSW, of course, steal and assa to burn pots.

    That is all.

  18. Sct bombs are pointless on spies tho unless you plan to keep them zeroed for a long time. I still personally prefer scts to pin spies unless I'm trying to pot burn.

So all in all swab some situations call for burning pots. Some call for keeping a spy zeroed all day. And scts work better for zeroing spies out than assn/stls do

  19. My attack stats are 30m...

Lolz memory lane who when they were noob advertised for hire using their raw stats and not BTA???

And on topic: to elaborate on my short post, the reason I scout in EE is because burning pots is kinda irrelevant. Everyone has prepared and potted up and the set time limit constricts your need to burn all the pots of an opponent. Though in osw it is always good to burn pots to prep for a strip. Although that can be a double edge sword as the victim may get a hint of what's to come if everyone is asn them burning through hundreds of pots.

But yah scouts suck at life outside of EE war
