Yea, I seal below 20% in OSW if I need to clear spies. Scout is not a valid option when I can be eating their sdp
Hansels always drop to pure spy on me and I'm like "pffff k.", I'd find them far more annoying if they assass'd my bars to pin every 15 mins instead of stealing me a burning a few spies while taking 5m off.
Exactly Val I've never understood it either. Why steal someone in warespecially to burn pots. U only get a max of 18 steals from full if you win every one. 10-11 if u fail them all. But u get 36 assn from full if u win them all and somewhere around 20-25 if you lose them. Stealing is stupid unless someone had been stripped. Yes it burns sdp. Yes u may steal 2-3m from them. Big whoop. U assn them and win and u keep them from making 50-60m per attack u kill. Plus pots. Only way to cause that kind of damage with steals is to strip 50-60b off of them. Steals are pointless unless u have stripped your target.
Nowadays fails take 20m plus an action. Coordinate a proper fail bomb and they can loose bills without having to waste SAP
"To clear a pure spy of troops"? Impossibru! Seriously though, scouting is only useful if you are weaker in spies than your opponent, do you can zero them.
This build makes tons, I stock up on SAP for the purpose of zeroing a HLBC hansels spies, it annoys the **** out of them since they can't get a single win because of their spy level if they want to get through my spy builds
I usually just follow spam with an alt. The alt I do it on is called "Fail bomb 2 clr news" barcoded, lmfao. I tried it when stripping a ZAFT member, didn't work, probably not enough
Steals aren't pointless... Scouts are pointless. Yes, don't steal unless there's a 60b strip or you need to clear lower 20% spies. I agree there. Don't scout unless its the only option. Assassinate first even if its just 30 actions to burn their spies and dial in your pots to hit them. People are upright bragging about scout actions. Why? I come on an hour later and not a darn thing mattered. I typically don't even clear the lower 20% of spies. I burn the next guy on my list. I like to keep a few guys on their toes at once and burn both bars so they're trying to keep all pots up at once. I just don't get the recent love of the scout and I see it more and more in my news and haven't seen a compelling argument for it.
As I said, I only clear their spies completely to stop any possible growth, when I'm going all out 1v1.

I had a build with 3 mil spy and almost 4 mil spy def and was rendered totally helpless by a clan farming me because they just kept fail scouting me preventing me from doing anything. After almost 45 days I had had enough.
Lol I have 36b in allies. That's more than enough for mp. And as for growing, I just can't be bothered. I'm not even on that much
Eh, 1on1 perhaps I can see the strategy. I'd still steal before scout in hopes of burning pots, but occasionally that option isn't open certain 1on1 builds. So that argument is legit. OSW? Don't see any sense in it. New war system, yea totally necessary for a full pin. Whatever it takes. Again I steal or assassinate first, but if people want to waste more spies % per victims % spies lost per action that's fine by me.
Scouting is the new hot thing because of Estoc wars. For some reason they are carrying it over to OSW thinking they are hot poo.
I don't get scouts in estocs unless targ is dtw for attacks, and your an attack build who can't win assass on targ. Why waste a FB spies, to take away 1 FB, when you could Assass FB and take down 2 full bars.?
First option would be to assass. Secondly when assass is not available, then you can scout them. Its just to completely pin your opponent and keep them there. As val and mickey said that in war people have money banked and therefore stealing is useless. But when you are fighting noobs, they usually have money out and dont care or dont know how to bank. Stealing these noobs freaks them out and results in noob tears on your wall.
