Fact is all over America and many parts of Europe there is a deep seated racism within many public office's but especially the police force and often serious judgement errors take place which sadly all to often results in an innocent person's death. However that doe's not in any way justify executing two innocent men as they go about they're duties trying to protect people. I understand the anger within the mostly African American protesters as many have experienced racism first hand from the police but killing them back is only stooping to there level and in there mind justifying they're racial profiling.
Most of the protesters do not endorse this behavior. As with any movement there will be radicals and bad seeds on both sides. This guy was not doing this for the movement. He killed his GF hours before. In his twisted world this was most likely his idea of going down in some form of vainglory. It should not be perceived as this by anyone on either side.
My comments are directly aimed at the "peaceful"protesters in NYC clearly heared chanting on aljazeera news "what do we want, dead pigs when do we want it now" not the sensible side who want reform.
The protesters are idiots. Here is an idea: STOP BREAKING LAWS AND YOU WONT GET JACKED UP!! If you are confused why the police are not getting indicted it's because you can't resist arrest. No where in the constitution, or any human rights document for that matter, does it say you have a right to resist arrest. When a cop asks you to do something you HAVE to do it.. You fight your battle in court like a civilized person. Bottom line is you jerk offs are using racism as an excuse to break laws and disrespect authority. I know plenty of black who are not in fear of getting jacked by cops because they are not breaking laws. Stop making excuses and hold people accountable for their actions.. Stop blaming white for your problems.. Stop blaming cops because you broke the law
I don't think it's a racism issue. I think it's a putting someone in an illegal chokehold and killing them by that chokehold should be charged as killing someone with a chokehold. Stop acting like cops arent human and don't make mistakes. How about that revolutionary idea? Sorry I believe cops are just people with guns and badges we entrust to PROTECT and SERVE us. Not to act like some occupying military force above reproach.
Larry your either a white guy with blinkers that's never seen the way cops have treated black friend's purely because there black or your just an idiot I'm not quite sure, not every incident of actions of police racism are caught on camera or results in a death and not every person that is pulled by the cop's is pulled because they are breaking a law. Even though I'm not in the US I've witnessed police treatment of a black friend purely because he was black and it was disgusting an the lads never broke the law in his life.
He shouldn't have been black then.. What was he thinking.. And the choke hold wasn't illegal or he would have been charged
Where have you been? That choke hold was an illegal move according to the NYPD. That's the entire point of the outrage!
I hate to play the RL card here but I'm going to anyway. I run a program in which I work many black young men(mostly Haitian) that mostly live in urban neighborhoods. I teach them to be accountable for themselves and don't put yourselves in the situations that can get you in trouble. I teach them to not blame others
Your ignorance is an example of why we are where we are. The protesters and looters are ignorant too. The hold was banned from use not made illegal. If it were illegal there would be a law on the books about it. But guess what? We can't reinvent the law just because Garner was black and choked by a white guy. Also the hold didn't kill him.. The hold is not lethal. He died because of a pre existing health condition. If his heart couldn't handle it then he should not have resist led arrest.. Once you resist arrest you forfeit a lot of your rights. Hey guys you what would fix a lot of these problems? Stop resisting arrest. When a cop tells to do something you do it
That's awesome. I'm happy you do that. Doesn't make the chokehold that killed Eric Garner a legal action. It was an illegal move used which resulted in a death. That still stands.
If this was at all true then the cop would have been indicted. Read my previous post try to understand it. It's ignorance like this that is causing these problems
Larry , I don't think you're getting the point. Regardless of anything else, the cop choked the guy to death.
Using a banned move should have gotten the officer. Yes, the man was doing something illegal. Should he have died for it? Who knows. Was he resisting arrest? Yes. If the cop used moves that are allowed, would the man would still be alive? Probably. The man said he couldn't breathe. Being held in said hold aided in his death.
He died in the ambulance.. He wasn't being choked in the ambulance. If he did something wrong he would have been indicted. Are you saying the law is racist or the grand jury?
The cop claimed he wasn't choking him.. And how do you know it was the hold that disrupted his breathing. Could it have been all the excitement and the pre existing health condition that caused a cardiac arrest?
I'd assume the "choking" caused him to need to be in the ambulance. I'd assume the LACK of air caused his heart to act the way it did. A lot of people do wrong and get away with it. This is no different. I never called anybody racist in my statements and I don't see where I even hinted at color. Bringing up something out of nothing is a very good tactic on someone less inteligent than I
DirtyLarry is either a cop or knows the guy. You can't choke someone out till they almost go and expect them to be fine from it. There are SO many holds he could have put him in, even after having him in the first Hold, change holds, if you know anything about 'holds' if you keep pressure in the same place it begins to numb, completely making your hold useless. Cops are killing, cops get killed. Vicious circle.
the coroner stated his death was from asphyxiation from compressed airways. That's what killed him. An officer using a banned move. How does this not deserve a fair trial?
