Starfall Event Update

  1. Hands down, by far, best event to date. I didn't even get a good reward but I had fun and that's what a game is for. To those that didn't have fun, sorry, but here have been many many EB promos and it was time for the warriors to have an event.

  2. I am Tron Top 1000 Shard Hunter#1 Guild Hansel in KaW 

  3. How'd you pull that off with them stats though??

  4. All HailTron voted #1 Guild HanselTop 1000 Shard Dude of the Year by KaW Magazine

  5. Tron was able to exploit the EB Fairy Mechanism built in to most users by default, thus exploiting them via FarmVirus. hope this helps.

  6. To summarise this event:

    1. Make yourself dtw.
    2. Continue to self pin so you cannot be hit.
    3. Don't sleep so your stats never go above 20%
    4. Find someone who does sleep/work/doesn't understand dtw mechanics and hit from pin to steal shards.
    5. Repeat for a week.

This event highlighted everything wrong with the war system to me. No real strategy, just having a build designed to abuse dtw.

    Basically a hansel paradise.

Opt out not a solution as you can see, there are now clans devoted to victimising anyone who used that option. I think this event may have done you more harm than good.

As for everyone saying that it was great to have a pvp event, don't forget that in other events you still got rewards for wars as well as ebs so they catered for both play styles and you couldn't lose a week of work by falling asleep if you don't know the special.dtw exploits.

This event was good in theory but terrible in practice and I think may have turned many people off KaW. Perhaps rename KaW to "weaklings at war" as dtw seems to be the single most critical (in fact almost the only important element as it renders everything else meaningless) part of the game.

KaW is the only war game I can think of where you get punished for being stronger than your opponent.

  7. This event was not unlike the old pwars if you think about the mechanics.

Shards were generated based on your kingdom relative strength to your victim. 2 equally matched kingdoms could generate 2 shards for every one lost. Minimum.

It was easier to generate shards on kingdoms you could easily hit, the trickle down theory.

In addition, allowing people to 'buy' protection for their plunder swords, sheer economic genius.

    2014, the Shard Plunder Wars.

Next event should be opt in with its own battle list to assure fair redistribution of shards.

  8. dtw exploit? wow talk about buzzwords. Let's summarize your post shall we?

1: player that clearly had to catch on to the intricate mysteries of dtw mechanics or thinks everyone else is to dumb to have done so
2: Actually thinks the only way to play the event was by being a hansel in pin for a week. I mean maybe if you wanted leaderboard but otherwise getting a thousand shards was completely within reason.
3: doesnt seem to understand that utilizing game mechanics and playing your strengths up and mitigating weaknesses is actually a "strategy" not an "exploit"

  9. I am awesomeness in the form of -Tron-
