I guess I'm just depressed today. Untitled Where once was laughter Silence Rules Where once was joy And tidal pools Where sunlight gleamed 'Cross breezy sky No one could know But still they died. A barren wasteland Then appeared And dust did fly And fires seared The skin of children Once who played Now prone forms Just lay decayed Where once was Laughter Now are tears Yet nothing silences the fears
Just thought to put this up. There's a back story to this little snippet, unfortunately tis be saddening. My little half brother passed away in my father's wife's womb just yesterday and was to be born by the end of Oct. So this little poem goes out to the little boy. May he R.I.P Little One <3 "Little One" Never forget the love and care, That we all claimed to bear. For you little one, Were the greatest lil' battle ever won. Unfortunately the time has come, Where you have said your goodbyes in the dome. But let it be known, That we have all shown, Affection and Love to this Little One.
Krueger I am ever so sorry for your familys loss, this time 9 yers ago I was sadly losing one of my twins in my womb, and in a couple of weeks my daughter was born to also pass away. Please know you are not alone. x
I am sorry to you as well Emily for the losses you have endured as well as well as your family, but I graciously thank you for having understanding to the events that have occurred in these past days. The support is always appreciated and thanked for dear. Your writing as well in its own essence is a comfort.
D, not everything has to be a contest. True writers write because they are compelled to, and they see it as a way to express themselves in a way they may not be able to otherwise.
Poetry to me is a way of getting emotion out when you cant tell someone what you feel or what you think. Its normally something private that I rarely share. I could never enter a competition, it feels weird putting them here in a forum
