I have no idea what you're taking about you can read it fine, dark green is a no go. But to thread... 1. Why is the words size 200? 2. Internet is already run like cable companies. Because it's cable companies that provide them... Talk talk, BT, sky, Virgin all provide connectivity which is run by phone lines as such. You get deals and offering slower but more or quicker but less. And if you check some sites will be blocked. Or only accessible if you pay a particular company. So You have missed something because it's already been decided, huge companies like that won't change a system that are working fine and effectively.
They're already trying. The first round was Netflix vs Comcast and Verizon. Netflix CEO calls out Comcast on net neutrality https://gigaom.com/2012/04/15/netflix-c ... eutrality/
It doesn't make any sense for an ISP to provide different speeds other than to make a profit. When you upgrade your internet, do they come and upgrade your hardware? No, they just speed up your existing internet which means they're limiting it just to charge you more.
So they block abc or xyz. I have cable to watch those. And no company would block youtube google facebook or twitter. So 90% of all people that use the internet are good. Take into account the millions of websites, no company is gonna go thru and block one to widen another. The implications dont matter. It wont affect anyone.
Actually, you don't have cable to watch XYZ or ABC on. They're internet streaming video providers. They're the alternatives to cable TV. And yes, ISPs could block or slow down things like Google or Facebook, if they cut deals with their competitors to be the exclusive provider for that content. Same goes for web sites. They've already done it to a degree in the cellular market with some VoIP applications.
Can anyone guess what color is most distinguishable against a black background?? ******* white. And stop with the big text too.
Please tell me who competes with google and bing? they cant slow google because google controls youtube which doesnt have a competitor. As for facebook.... never gonna be slowed because all isp have facebook pages. Twitter? Same as fb. Anything internet exclusive i wouldnt watch anyways. So again.... how is this affecting anyone?
Vote for the Affordible Internet Act “That means that no matter how we reform the internet, we will keep this promise to the American people: If you like your Internet provider, you will be able to keep your Internet provider, period. If you like your Internet plan, you’ll be able to keep your Internet plan, period. No one will take it away, no matter what.” - Mr Obama.
None of those compete. With search engines there is a tier system. Google and bing. Yahoo Everything else.
You're missing the point. You use your ISP to get to those search engines, and everywhere else on the internet. Right now your ISP basically treats all data the same. You go where you want and use it however you want. It doesn't matter if you chose to use Google or Bing, the speeds are the same. That may change. If your ISP cuts a deal with Bing and you want to use Google, you may find your speed slows down when do, because your ISP has put brakes on Google in order to promote Bing. Or you may find that you can't get to Google at all. It's already happened to some extent with video streaming. Comcast wanted Netflix to pay them more. Nexflix refused, so they slowed Netflix down on Comcast. If you used Comcast to get to Netflix, the quality and speed of your movies declined. If you didn't like it, too bad. Your only option was to go to another ISP. That's how it may work everywhere in the US soon.
Yes and no. It's not just Americans trying to do it. It's a global industry. Internet service providers could do it anywhere that lacks regulations prohibiting them from doing it.
