Is the grand circlet a helm or trinket?

I figured trinket. But it doesnt say on equipment page.

If a crown is a trinket and not a head piece, then this circlet is probably the same.

Would love a definite answer though

 

I was told by a mod it was a helm.

I propose you lower 100 medal requirement to 80 and make the current 100 medal requirement a top 500
