Id rather have clan wars like s1 and before that 4 hour wars but now they are crappy 1 hour wars and the system sucks so indi is the best way forward.
So? What does being in an HTE clan have anything to do with EE? That remark is a common cop out used in this game when you clearly have nothing valid to legitimize your point.
You are pointing out the truth as seen in your perspective. Doesn't mean it is right. To say that new players should not be allowed to do Indy Wars because clan wars is broken is still nonsense. Tell me why? What does Indy have to do with clan wars? Why should new players suffer because clan wars are broken. Please explain this? Because it doesn't look like you are pointing out facts, it looks like you are being negative and that you feel new players should not be subjugated to a form of war you dislike even though a vast amount of players love Indy wars. I won't argue with you about the game becoming more money hungry. That is obvious. I do not approve of the new lands or builds and I don't care for HTE. I only to HTE to keep competing in war, both OSW and EE. I do it, doesn't mean I like it. Sorta like buying gasoline. I like driving, but I hate paying for gas but I do it anyways. Now to the programs. Tell me, in complete detail, how the devs can fix clan wars? You said you was a programmer, well then, make a detailed post on how to fix clan wars. Make sure you cover all bases. -How to prevent stacked rosters -make fair match ups - how to make it enjoyable for smalls, mids, and gap players. So on and so forth. Until I see a valid reply on how to fix the matchups and how to prevent stacked rosters, all you are doing is what everyone else is. Just complaining. I know it is frustrating Titan. I really do like you mate. And trust me, under another account all I did was complain and complain and rant and rant and every now and then I would make a good idea and push that into the dirt and after all of that I would repeat the cycle. Took a break. Came back, and now I realize. If I am going to complain, I am going to back it with a reasonable solution. Where is your reasonable solution to fixing clan wars Titan. I would honestly love to see it because I know you are brilliant.
If you make tower buildings make the most plunder then u will make the most money devs as fairies will change their build and spend more money then indi would be full of tower builds making war much better.
Yes this all true except one omission. Towered buids r forced to play with eb builds or builds in transition. Sacfricing plunder for years for others now is not fair in any way. Also there is no real incentive or pressure for many drop ins to not exploit those that have done so.
Indi might be the best system since the original ee wars came out you know the beta lol. Tower builds complaining is comical all yall do is complain first about gh then sh then super sh get over it already. Every indi I have done has had towers on almost every account so where are all these eb builds you're referring too?
2 types of IWar rostering would solve most concerns that arise. 1 Tier for War type builds n 1 for Novice build. Eg Tanks/PS n EB build/Hansel. Devs state entry rules for what is generally considered a war or novice build. Separation will help many ppl that r learning n growing n keep clan rosters relative to where builds r currently at. This is one statement n perspective the devs need consider. I'm fine with IWar but forced into it with any build in our is correctable.
Very simple. Nerf steal plunder in primals. Why were there so many rosters with huge hansels? Because steals pay great and attacks lost relative value when they removed BFA plunder bonus. Minor tweaks could've made clan wars viable again but that was too much work for them to implement and test. The all indy 1/2 length season for 1 eq slot is a punt by the devs no matter which way you slice it
All fair in love and war. Those towers got their dues and paid for themselves in past seasons. It is time their worth is made less relevant anyways.
... Ummm. Gold made from stealing is very low.. Generally all you use your spies for in EE is to scout and assassinate. Nurfing steals will not change anything in EE and that change will cause a riot from OSW clans.
Lol! Towers are still very much relevant-it's those towers that you are going to ride to victory. I'm just not sure I like sacrificing my plunder so that your lazy butt can have a free ride.
I think this is a horrible idea. I see where you are coming from but I don't think you truly thought this idea out. Here is the problem with this idea. #1. It the philosophy of the game play, it makes no since. Towers do not make gold because the troops never leave the kingdom to collect gold from attacks and steals. In in the game play you still have to "pay" your troops. So they should cost your plunder. The other builds are self funding. #2 This idea would completely kill PvP. It would kill battle list hits. It would kill 1v1 It would kill OSW's It would kill EE. The reason is because more players, actually, all players would go on a tower building frenzy to get these gold making buildings. Attack power would go dramatically down Defense would go dramatically up. It would eventually make it impossible to hit anyone. By making towers a plunder maker, it would tarnish the game. By making towers the top plunder maker would kill the game. Pvp speaking. Then all you would have is.... EBs. Because they would be the only thing you could successfully hit.
then you need builds with very high att stats and no towers to beat the tower build.. or maybe a few towers to defend hits when you are low. It has more strategy than you described, but its a bad idea nonetheless.
I will build towers for season 5. Trust me. i do regular Indy towerless. I will go into this season with towers. And did I say they was irrelevant? No. I just said they were less relevant. And I don't ride to victory in EE. I do my part. But feel free to use me as your excuse for not building towers in season 5. Some people need an excuse to go along with their negative personally.
@vix My issue with the new player argument is that I am a relatively new player. I just got my first year under my belt. My very first war was the ee promo last summer where new players were invited to come out and try warring...we got a free xtal or something? Remember that? My build sucked, I had one ally, and I had no clue what ss (wondered why people were taking screenshots), ko, sko, diving, etc meant. I was the biggest noob and you know what happened to me? I was welcomed and people (including you vixen, fonzii, knight, Suf, syl, people from mushroom kingdom, Los-blood orchid, and many more) happily put up with my noobish questions because they wanted more participation. Sure there are rude ee a-holes, but most people are happy to spend time getting new people oriented. I took the vets advice and by s4 (a month or two later) was warring regularly. Was I a pro?not even close! The first thing I usually said in cc for most of s4 was, "hello, I'm a noobie" and people didn't groan and moan, they pmed me saying to ask them questions if I had any. In my opinion, the rudeness isn't directed towards new players, but towards veteran tower less builds who only show up to ee when their ee bonus is about to expire in hopes that their teammates can overcome their leaky hte builds. It's also these people that s5 is catering to... I don't hate Indis, though I wish there was a way to guarantee wc and tk positions (2 more abbreviations I didn't know one short year ago). I just think, however, that making a season dedicated solely to them is just another step by the devs in supporting a "hte-first everything else second" kind of playstyle.
Saying that these wars cater to non tower builds is not entirely true. Remember a lot were forced to drop out of wars or just not able to get off the ground as clans excluded even long term members for strangers with better builds for the war tower tactic. An ideal situation these days is where you basically don't attack the enemy and let them burn their pathetically small attack ( in comparison to defence ) on your walls. The best way to win a war is not to fight until the last ten minutes. Ee was about ending turtle wars. And now we just have a new version of turtles with towers. I fully get why so many hate towers. Especially in these days of endless growth. Towers destroy fighting. There is no frantic actions aside from the odd xtal rush and waiting game. Who blinks first loses. Yawn. Many Wouldn't change builds to accommodate Stacked clans either. The Indi's are the only way to avoid many exploits.
These wars cater to every build. Debatable if thats either fair or reasonable for the many war vets. Thats not saying ppl do not war their asses off whatever stage their build is at. That said how about 2hr wars for the Vets or newer war builds with rewards accordingly. A commensurate reward for a longer war is reasonable IMO given more time n effort n the extra xtal is required. The other war is 1hr long for the newer warriors or so called non-war builds in transition. Some merit system or war achievement status might be needed to discern who can enter the 2hr War.
