Season 5 - Ally Hires

Discussion in 'Wars' started by Queen, Aug 15, 2015.

  1. How is "use the best builds to fit our strategies" any different from what I just said? You look to gain an advantage by building a roster of people who make it easier for you to win (with your particular style of game play). It is the same thing. Couching it in euphemisms and trying to make one side look good and the other evil is misleading.

Again, no one has articulated a cogent reason for why PS Strip hitting is "wrong" or "dishonorable". It comes down to you don't like it because it negatively affects your chosen method of warring.

That's simply not gonna cut it.

  2. No support

  3. I'm confused. Atk builds and Hybrids were/are forced to build towers to be a part of EE teams. Now Hansels want the easy way in EEs? I don't understand at all why the devs should disable ally hires in EEs - if you want to war as a PS so be a PS - just stay with mp ally and drop it. If you have a big bfa - change your build like others must do as well.

  4. In the past, system wars lasted 48 hours and were fun to set up against friends between your clan and theirs. The wars were about respect and having fun with rules that were agreed upon prior to war start. This is obviously the complete opposite of osw where anything goes. There were of course a minimal amount of incidents that people were dishonorable and chose to break the agreed upon rules. In those days, there was no ally hide spell. For the most part, PS and Hansels warred with plunder war allies without fear of the allies being purchased. There were exceptions of course when people decided to go for a cheap win. However, for the most part people respected one another and did not purchase the plunder war allies to open a spy build.

As I stated before, system wars have always been about having fun and respecting each other with rules set in place. If you want an "all bets are off and do whatever it takes to win" style to win your war, then go participate in osw.

I fully support disabling ally hires inside system wars OR, in the alternative, have all spy builds war as a hansel rather than PS. Although, I do believe the alternative will only have people gripe about "leaky hansels".

  5. I cannot debate morales where none exist. Like I said up to us ps to do what we can to fix.

  6. War hard to win, rather then war lazy for personal gain and easy win.

  7. Ps have it easy already. Dont need many towers. Make more gold in ebs. They have advantage to only use one bar. If you dont like hires then change your build or not have cheap allies. Its just another war tattic. I hope more go ps1. Easy gold for me. Ps cant be ako. So they already have numerous advantage

  8. You warred easy and destroyed primal wars.

  9. Syl, you haven't stated any morals, or what you consider morals. You just say you don't like it because it negatively affects your style of war play. That is not about morals, it is about your choice to war as a PS and take the good and bad that comes with it.

If you are going to advocate a position by saying anything that affects my war style negatively should be disallowed -- than should all PS1(hansels) agree as a matter of honor not to steal from hybrids once the hybrid has zero spies? That would greatly improve the war experience for hybrids. But frankly that would be stupid.

Each type of build has advantages and disadvantages. You cannot choose to simply take the advantages of one type of build and then advocate to get rid of the disadvantages.

This is about an individual's choice of builds and being mature enough to accept the consequences and responsibilities of those choices.

Morals (not morales) has nothing to do with it.

  10. I agree with Balle. So if I stay hansel I only get plundered at opening and every time I come out of ko. Or I stay PS and run the risk of getting stripped. So you either keep your allies hidden, rotate allies in and out so no one can track them or learn how to sko quick if you do get opened up. I have been in 2 wars so far where PS have gotten opened up and in both of those wars the PS didn't hide them until after the notification for casting mith spell. Is 4 mith really that important that you can't hide them before rosters are made. During off season wars I never hid my allies as there was nothing really to gain or lose except ee. But now with the season here the stakes are bigger and people are gonna do what they need to do to win wars. You want to blame anyone blame the PS who didn't hide their allies. I will continue warring as PS and if I get opened up so be it it's part of the mechanics of the game.

  11. Sh could say that to all other builds...but the community called them "exploits" because the builds they chose couldn't compete with sh.

And so ee wars have been evolving because builds who can't compete complain until the rules change.

In fact, I believe that's how this season came about...people who couldn't compete whined that war clans wouldn't roster them, so devs set up random rostering.

  12. I agree, and I think that's the point..people who have been throwing around words like "exploit" to describe the way clans were rostering, are all the sudden ok with stripping ps.

I'm all for playing within mechanics, but this whole season took away war clans to appease people who thought they were taking advantage of a system even though it was within the mechanics of the game.

  13. I warred easy hahhahha. Make more gold hahhahha. I sacrificed all my gold and bfa to change my build to true hansel. 100 t+ fyi. Also easy wins sometimes , mostly do to lack of effort on other leaders part to develop a way to beat us. Devon did it, rr has done it. Do you not realize when I went hansel heavy season 4 we were beaten many times by bg? I developed different ways to win and they in turn would adapt to defeat. Was some of the best wars and rivalry. I never aimed for an easy win, I offered to match builds and cs with any challenger. So this is two completely different matters lets not try and just throw around "exploit" because some lacked the ambition and drive to adapt to become the best at primals.

  14. Because your clan took all the fun out of primal wars. No one wants to do them

  15. Unsupport. The money spent to reset is now being put into ally hire. Are there any players that mind being bought you can buy back during or after if want to. No person outside of the other clan in s5 can hire any of the allies. I know because I have attempted this on Tuesday. It can't be done. This was a fix they put in last year due to your stated reason

  16. We just raised the bar, some rose to do the same others just didn't. Respect to those who kept fighting.

  17. In response to this comment, in real life the UN or whatever did it have set boundaries in warfare. As well as interrogation boundaries. So why not have boundaries. We always have minimal boundaries. But having this boundary may be a good thing. To help someone who may have low allies at the time eb bonus and growth. They try war they get stripped easily and never war again cuz they have to grind to get another ally the same amount as the money he was stripped of. Yeah too much effort.

  18. Some of you guys also miss the point that this isn't simply about a spy build "crying" or "whining" about being stripped. The main issue at hand is primarily about the other players who are on their team. Why should 20 other players who took time out of their real life that day/night to war suffer a loss in war simply because they were rostered with a PS who was stripped? They lose time and money because people have lost sight of what system wars were always about in the past. Respect.

I bet the people who support the stripping of PS wouldn't hold the same position of argument if they lost multiple wars in a row from a PS on their team getting stripped.

  19. Support well said.

  20. Damn great thinking there.
