Seal of the Hoarder Discussion.

  1. This system brings more gold into the game. So you will inflate this game so much to the point where the developers are forced to create methods that syphon the gold out of the system.

Let's look at inflation. Back in the days of Reverse Plunder Wars, 1 tril was earned in 3 days among 100 people and 100 bil in allies was a lot. Now you can make 1 tril in 3 days for one player and 10 tril in allies is a lot. Keep in mind these are numbers from an individual with any modest build/land completion.

The point is gold has become weaker and everything has gotten more expensive because of it. If you want things to be easier to buy, implementing ways to increase plunder gain isn't helping that situation. You will just slowly increase the price of allies, especially knowing you can buy an ally and completely strip the money right back.

Developers have released the new tier of buildings and are making them more expensive because the ability to gain gold is too easy compared to a couple years ago. Implementing this idea isn't gonna make it any easier to build complete in the long run, in fact it will make it worse.

    Therefore, no support.

  2. Price should scale with stats. Otherwise I think it's an interesting idea.

  3. Also, to combat your alt farming theory, you are wrong there. Your alt doesn't need a lot of money out to farm, in fact you only need a little.

If your alt has 1 gold out and you attack him, you will make just as much as if the alt had 100 tril gold out. Now if you allow this spell, you will make whatever your alt loses, not what you should make beating them as a reward, if that makes any sense.

Therefor, given that information, this will only encourage alt farming and discourage PvP. I mean, who PvPs with a massive amount of gold out? If an individual banks to 0 gold and you cast this spell, they will make 60mil per hit on you while you make only what they lose  it becomes a pointless PvP spell.

This needs some serious rethinking before it can be considered a valid idea.

  4. Cap the spell. When you hit 800m a hit, each 100m take 10% off or some ****.
That might be a **** example but I dunno cause' I'm not doing that math right now.

  5. Correct, it would encourage alt farming.
But how would it discourage PvP? Have you not strip farmed a player before? All of that money just laying out; just think about it.. The seal would be DEVASTATING. It would definitely cause more OSWs. OSW is PvP.

  6. Melissa... PvP isn't restricted to stripping... Player vs Player can just be attacking and zeroing an individual which makes this spell useless. That's what I mean by discouraging. Also, do you really consider stripping PvP? Is it REALLY Player vs Player? It's more like CvUV or Clan vs Unaware Victim

  7.
  8. OSW is PvP.

  9. Of course it is! But you should know an OSW isn't all about stripping. Plus where are you gonna get the strip funds? Surely not from PvP with this spell activated. So this spell should now be considered a strip spell and not a PvP helper/equalizer spell because it's not.

Also, I apologize for that awkward double quote... Lag is awful!

  10. I know this, reread the op. The spell would give you the same amount of gold as your target lost.

Rather it be 400 million or more per hit or nothing.

Also, I would cast it on strips personally and possibly battle list or world chat.

Though I do see how it would be uneffective in 1v1. Clan farms could take advantage of it as well as battle listers

Again, it is just a rough idea.

Honestly the main reason why I made the thread was to test out an idea and to put a off system pvp idea in AT.

The alt farming and osf and oaf issue will never be resolved but that exploit is just the same as farming EB's and HTE.

  11. I only said it may help out new players. Again, a rough idea.

  12.
  13. What eb bring pays 400mil/hit? Using the spell you are talking about can potentially makes me to get from 3hits on an alt same plunder i would get in an hour of HTE.

  14. Interesting. This might actually work.

  15. So I can hit lb. 10t out. 60b a hit? I like that

  16. How would be the seal DEVASTATING? Devastating can be Unholy Aura but not this seal. This is seal is not ment to have any effect on your target.

  17. And what if LB hit his alt with 10t out for 60bil a hit? you like that too? :)

Talking about narrowing the gap... Guess what!? Whales will become even bigger :)

  18. Allows you to make up gold spent on a strip.

Look I see the flaws of this idea, reason why i made it a discussion. You have valid points also. But do you have any ideas on what could make a reasonable incentive that would get more players into off system pvp?

How about this, what are your thoughts on the 2nd half of it. To make it where it can take event items. Maybe revise the idea and instead of it being a seal, make an event where you can steal and attack away event items.

Again my goal is to come up with an idea to get more players in to pvp and to reward those in osw. I may be far off base with this idea. Still Lets see what ideas can come of it.

  19. Whales make up what 5 to 10% of the game. I don't even put them into co consideration with most of my ideas because they are what they are. With that, most of them can't hit me and I can't hit them due to their bfa. They are completely irrelevant to most aspects of this game other than eb times and a few higher in blotched ee's.

  20. I'm not saying is a bad idea. I just think that taking same amount of gold open the doors for exploits. At this point OSW is healthy for Kaw economy because takes gold out of an inflated system. What i think would be more healthy is a "reverse" Unholy Aura. 50% chances to get double plunder on PVP.
