Surly not long before the war in Syria started there were 2 proposed pipelines being looked at for construction in the Middle East? One that would have linked Iran's natural gas fields with Europe via countries such as Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Syria and Jordan.. Mostly pretty close U.S allies? I think I read that Syria rejected this pipeline for Russian interests. Syria however liked the sound of a proposal for the pipeline to run from Iran to Europe via Iraq and Syria both of which are now in complete chaos due to the war, while at the same time it's hardly a secret the U.S wants Assad gone to be replaced with a U.S yes man and wanted to/is arming rebel groups in Syria while also trying to get friendlier with Iran. Then there is constant chatter of U.S Allie Turkey providing assistance or just ignoring Isis activities. Not saying I actually believe what I write is fact or that the U.S or it's middle eastern allies have caused the Syrian war but it seems fishy and to be honest wouldn't surprise me.
