They did it to show they are not scared to do it. Didn't it cause a ruckus? If they put that noob that just started "did it" no one would care.
Well bottiing is well known in KaW, saying you didn't do it don't make it so. I applaud admin for taking a stand just hope they are not favouring certain players/clans is all.
@kaw_admin so this going to be a permeant permeant ban r one that's just lifted in a couple days like. Like other people who have been caught nothing in the past and had there accounts revoked. Or is perm now perm? Just wondering

@people who don't like names being mentioned The devs are allowed to post names of banned people. I also believe that posting these names in particular will have more of an effect. If they'd posted a random name then people wouldn't care. But since they posted names of popular and well known people, it shows us that even the most well known people won't get away with botting. There will be less people botting now.
Botters should be terminated with extreme prejudice. Good news that the devs are making the tough decision to do this. Name and shame is a good thing. Flop the names in a sticky as far as I'm concerned.
Proph If you are implying that KaW admin can just be posting numbers, he just explained it in depth and now seems more legit. If not i have no idea what you mean, or don't care, you can post my wall or follow we're derailing his thread.
Sorry justice I was just answering the question you asked me. If you don't understand its because it's encoded. Something about crying and not caring and I see the code for butt Hurt in there a few times. I'll see if kaw admin can break it down for ya a bit more.
I have witnessed first hand players botting, staying in pin for hours on end. Watched their quest count go up 4 every 11 minutes during their known sleep time only to switch to hitting players after their 8 hours. I've played this game legitimately for 3 years now, I've submitted feedback and seen no movement. How is it with such accurate tracking that you've falsely accused players, banned, we watch them be stripped only to have accounts reinstated? If the policy is so clearly outlined and tracking methods so accurate, there should be no room for error, correct? But at their request to have potions gold and allies returned they were refused. When submitting a suspicious activity report we've been requested to provide "screenshots". How is it, that the burden of responsibility for proving this infraction lands on us? Do screenshots show pixel clicking information? It's be excellent if we called this what it actually was, but instead you've publicly tarred and feathered 2 players while allowing those who pay the most to go unpunished. If this is the case, be prepared for some very transparent public tarring and feathering of our own as we defend members of our community as well.
And @ iProphet - if I recall correctly, you've been banned for botting once as well, account stripped and reinstated. You'd think you'd have some sympathy to this particular occurrence. Should poppa threaten litigation as you did?
Releasing personal information? Oh wow, talk about a lawsuit of slanderous reasons. You better have damn good proof of them botting. Because if you don't... It's going to be a bumpy ride. I hope MB and PP go through with a lawsuit.
kaw_admin It is possible to hit the exact same pixel every time without Botting. Let me explain: On my laptop the way I hit repeatedly at an EB is by hovering my cursor over the repeat action button. After clicking, the success/defeat screen comes up, I now just press enter and that screen closes. I now just press the click button (on a laptop the click and mouse pad are separate) again. I repeat this pattern and as you can see/understand I am hitting the same pixel every time. Just sayin'
Actually weez you're very wrong. To this date no reason has ever been given to me or anyone as to why I was banned. That probably has something to Do with why my account was reinstated and over 10tril in gold returned to it. And that was two years ago....ballin! Please get your facts straight before spewing your high school kaw rumors about.
Actually, we didn't disclose any personal information. The definition of 'Personal Information': as used in information security, is information that can be used to uniquely identify, contact, or locate a single person or can be used with other sources to uniquely identify a single individual. Nowhere in our posts have we posted any such information. As for proof, it was provided a few pages back in this thread.
Speaking of high school, I'm sure it had nothing to do with your 2000 word essay and grade 11 law class threats. But for arguments sake you've legitimized my post. They ban first then investigate, if your account truly was reinstated and gold returned to you then clearly you weren't guilty. What about the rest of apocalypse accounts which have recently been banned and stripped only to have their accounts given back? Precedence set, ban first, investigate later, give back what was lost.
@ kaw_admin - it'd be spectacular if you addressed my reply to your OP and what transpired above with iProphet. Ty.
@IGCB: actually Kaw_admin revealed only t he name of 2 accounts. And those accounts are ATA's property. And law suit? Have your read ToU lately? Its stated very clear that accounts can be banned or erased for any reason or for NO reason.
@iRogue Actually, it's not possible. It may be possible to repeatedly click a single button at the exact same spot (we have a mechanism to detect and flag that for further investigation as well), but consider this: The player was not pressing a single button. They moved the cursor to the exact same location for every single button press in different locations every single time. Furthermore, with the UI variation test we explained, you'd have to do it 'blind' as you are clicking on an invisible button. Note that these individuals repeated this task many times (not just twice).
