You need to start of attack if you're small. > Not LLC, build forges all the way until you can open up 5 HL > That's when you slowly start converting LL into SoS. But keep 3 LL with L3 CoEs, get yourself 100b in allies. > On your HL build Volary, until you are HLC n All HL with Volary L3. > now save about a Trillion in gold n keep in Bronze bricks. > keep spy attack pots >>> 10k each. Minimum 5-7k > now save about 50B n convert your CoEs to SoS L3. Good luck. It will take you some time. About 4-6 months.
Pure spy is pointless unless you're HLBC, going pure spy before then means you'll be stuck at that size for a long long time, you simply don't earn enough gold for upgrades. Don't see many pure spies now since T5 was released, you'll never replace your SOS with T5 being a pure spy.

I'd go hansel, pure spy only for war or if youre being farmed. Hansel gives you more options in the long run as you can switch between builds and you earn extra gold from ebs with att troops when not it war.
