So skipping from page 10... ppl get excited about soccer? maybe its just my lack of interest in watching sports, but soccer seems as interesting as golf or tennis. not very.
Been playing since I was little, joined an indoor team when I was ten. Haven't stopped since (I'm 19). So please, tell me how I haven't played? Just because I don't know all the facts (use wrong titles of divisions) of football doesn't mean I haven't played. I've liked chelsea since I was 11 (obviously after the Russian money was into play) but only because my family would always watch them.
Maybe your just a dull person. Baseball would be the perfect sport for you. No offense its just my opinion
John Terry becomes Top Defender Goal Scorer with 39 goals. Was there before Russian money, go Chelsea (sas is obsessed with Russian billionaires)
it can be called football by 99% of the world. but football in america is different. altho i tend to agree.... american footballs name makes no sense, since the foot touches the ball 10 times a game. and i dont particularly enjoy watching any sport. i love playing sports. but, baseball, soccer, tennis, golf, basketball, hockey, american football. all boring to watch. some more so than others.
"The rugby football game was shortened to 'rugger,' a term recognized in British English to the present day, and the association football game was, plausibly, shortened to 'soccer'" Szymanski writes. (Apparently ending words in "er" was a fad back then.) Gradually, the term "soccer" gained popularity in the U.S. to distinguish the sport from American football. By the 1980s, the Brits began to part with the term, apparently, because it had become too "American." Not sure if this is true or not
this game is great  no idea what Fabregas was thinking  that was a perfect shot tho. Go Chelsea!
