Anyone have any tips for plate drops? We can do research and put it here. Anyone know if crux Chests adds to the chance of a drop? Or if full unload vs half unload means better drops? Any opinions or guesses? Growth pretty much depends 99% on plate drops once you hit a certain CS… so it’s important!
The drops are because of a RNG (Random number generator) so essentially it's random. Like rolling a dice. The more dice you roll the more chance of a drop. So the more eb actions and ebs completed is the only way to increase drop rate. However is very random.
Devs have confirmed in forums that eb actions are the primary driver of whether or not plates drop (https://forum.kingdomsatwar.com/threads/introducing-the-fatesands.186221/page-5#post-5536398). Anecdotally, I believe that the quantity of plates that drop is random, with higher amounts less likely. But whether or not the eb drops an artifact (which opens into however many shards) is based considerably on actions. Also anecdotally, it's impossible to guarantee a plate drop. Soloing nk doesn't guarantee a plate drop. I suspect, personally, that the raw chance to receive an artifact drop has a hard cap at some %. I'm not sure whether the number of required actions (in a given eb) to reach that theoretical max percent (my own hypothesis) changes with build size, net plunder (which includes effects from cruxes, ee, etc), or type of action. Testing is probably possible, but would require soloing or splitting an awful lot of long ebs to establish decent numbers, and who knows if there are any rolling variables that may be in play over time, or how transferrable the results are (unless multiple account sizes with varying plunder boosts participate in running their own quantity of ebs). The simplest tracking method would be going through a clan's eb history and making a thorough database containing action count, net plunder, whether or not an artifact dropped, and maybe player build size and/or build type. Just musings ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Disagree. Some people do full NK by themsel es and don't get plate drops. So not sure how your RNG theory works here
