Imagine if just one of those poor Frenchmen that was killed had a concealed handgun... RIP to the fallen. Sad day for all
I think that stricter gun laws reduces criminality. Norway is a good example of that. The country has one of the strictest gun laws in the world and the criminality rate is one of the lowest in the world. It is also the most democratic country in the world. USA on the other hand, has one of the most liberal gun laws and also one of the highest criminality rates in the world.
Talking about less gun control in a time like this is sickening and very American. In a country with much more forgiving laws on guns I don't see your gun criminality down. The answer to guns is not more guns. How about we mourn the victims of this idiotic and cowardly act instead of putting our 2 cents about gun control laws. It's sickening.
But tbh though if one of them had a concealed firearm maybe it could of prevented more innocent deaths? I don't know.. #PrayForParis
have you been watching the news? There were explosions ...this was a terrorist attack automatic weapons were probably used ...mult. locations. 60 dead so far 100 hostages ...think about what you're saying
Did 9/11 happen in France, too?? Did your guns prevent 9/11? Please don't reanimate your old "zombie" thread.. Redirect that itchy index finger to something that could help. Now, who has honored the paramedics, the firefighters and the policemen?
You know, if they let us carry guns on airplanes, they might just have. Either way, that's hardly a fair comparison. A gun cannot stop an airplane. Now, a gun may very well have been able to stop a bad guy with a bigger gun. They at least might have had a fighting chance. As it stands, it was just a slaughter. Like cattle just sitting there unarmed and defenseless. There's only one way to stop such mayhem, and you know the answer to that, even though you'll stand behind the "oh, look at this tragedy, how could you be so insensitive/disrespectful" defense.
Anyway, I can't shut up. The OP is calling for opinions, so I'm sharing mine. You're welcome to close the thread if opinions make you uncomfortable.
Mr.Cheese, what rl job? Do you realize, in that scenario, a civilian participating in the gunfight can be potentially shot by the policemen? In the chaos, a policeman could identify you as suspected terrorist, too. Instead of guns, why dont you advocate kevlar vests? No? Itchy finger, heroic fantasies.
I hate to sound ominous but imo this probably is just the beginning. What do all of you here think Isis wants?
