Your stats don't double when u hire yourself. Hiring somebody only gives u a portion of their stats.

 

To explain, your real stats aren't your ally stats, ally stats are just used to compare stats. Your real stats are under "your stats " when u go on your profile, and your ally stats are based off a percentage of your real stats.
