Overpricing Allies

Discussion in 'Ideas + Feature Requests' started by *Diab_Demise_MaCHiNE (01), Dec 30, 2014.

  1. None of this is really needed. Devs just need to release new lands and buildings. Then ppl will race to build. About 35T to hfbc right now. New buildings and lands will definitely take care of the problem.

  2. No, it delays the problem, then floods the market with even more money

  3. I am definitely not an expert in economics... but as the developers push out more fake gold they are raking in more real money.

What is ruining kaw, specifically? Is it the fact that the top lb have tons of gold? I am lost, and a noob, pardon my ignorant perspective...

Nonetheless an intereating topic and thread.

  4. Nice thread, some interesting views 

  5. One huge problem with this, people would have to find more allies. Redstar would own close to a thousand allies, if not already at that. Allies would be harder and harder to find.

  6. Thousand of allies :| I thought you can own at the most of 500 hundred. I think I remember when they made it able to buy ally spots to 500 and people with more got compensated by devs

Edit: Well i checked I could still buy allies at 500 but I'm pretty sure it's not at 1000

  7. I like the idea.

The other alternative is devs actually crack down on account transfers. We all know they happen but you can't talk about them and if you do you're in trouble instead.

  8. Interesting thoughts, unlikely to be implemented though

  9. You can only have 260 allies.

No support. Ally trading is part of kaw, it is a great way to make money and many people spend hours a day searching for underpriced gems, they're still there if you look hard enough and know what your doing. Plus they will inevitably fall in price when more lands are released, when ever that may be.

The problem is only really for low priced allies upto a billion or so for players playing for first time. Noobs cant get to mp and quit.

My preferred solution would be to give all accounts automatic max plunder for the whole of lowlands bc regardless of them having allies or not. This wouldn't be damaging to the game whatsoever and would allow noobs to grasp the concept of the game without having to worry about mp, plus they would have slightly accelerated growth.

Its a win win for devs and kaw in general leaving ally market in tact whilst boosting player base.

  10. Full support, sounds good 

  11. Sry no support

If u want to fix the allies market give the BC's something else to spend there gold on or if u want to balance the market then make it worth keeping an active ally eg: u make a bonus for what he makes and if they make nothing then it costs u to keep them,

Also to help starters out the new sell needs to give a plunder bonus to equal MP then have warning when it is going

  12. Take the plunder gain out of ally trades, problem solved.

  13. Just for discussion purposes and you assume max build and a capped ceiling price.
Still allow the allies to be purchased without profit or price increase, you still need the purchase money. This frees up the ability to strip and open up warfare over allies at a set level per growth tier.

But as I said last year for now I think the best solution is a whole host of devs controlled bot allies that maintain steady growth with capped values that reset with full refund after Hlbc or max value attained. This would provide thousands of potential allies to the game at steady prices controlled by size. They serve no purpose to the game other than to provide a constant source of allies at sensible prices. No other interaction.

  14. I like the concept , but wouldn't this make stripping and OSW a bit hard?

  15. i like the thought and effort. theres no avoiding the fact that any change that can be made will have a negative effect on someone or something but it needs to happen.

a suggestion id like to throw out there,

i dont see why a program cant be add that averages the prices vs stats of the accounts and provides an average.

this average would effect what your return from a hire and drop of the ally pays, *or charges you*.

for the sake of not have to use a calculator...

say the average value of a 5m cs account is 100b. all allies that are 5m cs would pay more or less, even potential charge you, depending how much their current price is to that average.

how? i dunno, i haven't seen enough stock market movies to be an expert yet. but who knows, maybe kung fu movies are some how applicable.

ill wrap this up real quick.
if an ally reaches say, 20% over the average, their value would decline at a rate that would bring them back within 20% of the average in 15 days(only an example).

    i hope that make sense.

and yeah, i know, lb gets ****** over. But every one eventually has to take one for the team.. you got the toothless, ashy, natty haired hobo though...but hey, theres no "i" in team right? right!

  16. Instead of overpricing allies why not focus on real issue (large players have a nearly infinite amount of goldright? Which is what then makes allies overpriced new peoples life is difficult yada yada yada) what really needs to happen is a money pit some way to spend gold to get Temp boasting effects that vary in price based on duration and str. Another idea is an action house based around gold for temp spell effects you can exchange the spells for any type of item you like just a concept as a baseline

  17. It's from 0-1,000,000,000 that the biggest deficit exists.

  18. What you could do for HFBC accounts is count adding bfa as upgrading. This would mean their price could go higher up

  19. So glad I'm not over priced
